Deokim as pregnant Uibin, standing outside of Queen Hyoui’s residence, is paying respects and bowing to San’s main wife Queen Hyoui (this was the most direct way Queen Hyoui was mentioned in all of the drama). This is very important because most non Korean viewers thought San was single the whole time when in fact he was married to Queen Hyoui since they were children. It also shows how Deokim is basically a glorified surrogate since she would only be considered the birth mother of her son and couldn’t call herself her child’s mother since the queen would get to take the mother role instead.

Because the webtoon this drama is being adapted from has GL lovelines plus JN and BY also kissed in the webtoon. Also we rarely get GL romances in kdramas.

In 1993, there was a mbc drama called Sons & Daughters with a lesbian supporting character who had feelings for the female lead (played by Kim Hee Ae), this gives me more hope that BY will still appear in the drama. Even if they don’t show JN and BY kissing in the drama, I hope they’re still shown as a couple.

No romance, mystery revenge thriller genre and finding out the truth of a case.
