The ML, Timmy Xu is the 2nd male lead from "The Evolution of our Love". Just in case you thought he looked familiar and cannot seem to place him. (this happens to me a lot when I have seen an actor then I cannot remember which drama/movie I've seen them before)
The "curse" plot reminds me of the American film "Good Luck Chuck". Including the detail that after the girl breaks up with the cursed guy (or in this drama, the guy rejects the girl after confessing), the other party finds TRUE LOVE. But I am sure this C-drama will make it all better and more "Asian"-like and conservative for us...which better...
So in the drama, HSY (Han Shang Yan) said to Zheng Hui, that he has watched him try to "steal" his girlfriend, Tong Nian, infront of him...but it doesn't really count since Zheng hui is innocent, and did not know till HSY told him. Anyway, out of that 3 attempted steal or confession of Zheng hui to Tong 'Nian, I only remember 2: the one at the hospital, when Zheng Hui's mom was hospitalized and they ate together, Tong Nian, HSY and Zheng Hui, then the other is when Zheng Hui was about to give a gift to Tong Nian and finally HSY told Zheng hui that they are dating and will get married soon with Tong Nian. What is that other scene that HSY is referring to? Does anyone remember?
They broke up twice only and got back together not long after. The sweetest ever... When he listed all his faults…
Oh yeah, sorry...its just felt like too many break ups since the mom also spoke with HSY about breaking up with TN and everytime TN approaches HSY, it just broke my heart how cold he was...I also ended crying when TN felt rejected...just because HSY wants to keep his promise to TN's mom...Anyway, I am tempted to watch it like you, but I have other dramas to watch...like Gank Your Heart...but guess what, I cannot get past the charisma of HSY or Li Xian for that matter...I mean the ML in Gank is good looking, but I can't seem to get over HSY...that is how captivating and entertaining Go Go Squid is to me...that is why the time I spent watching this drama is totally worth it...HSY or Li Xian is my newest crush!!!I'm obssessed...did you know that he had a support role in Love O2O the movie? I even ended up watching that just for Li Xian...omg, I am a big fan of him now...
OMG, this drama is so captivating, I finished in 3 or 4 days I think...It's like pringles, once you pop, you can't stop. Super addicting. But of course, it is not perfect, there are some flaws and dragginess somewhere and somehow...and too much flashbacks...but if someone watching did not understand a previous scene, don't worry, it will be reiterated by all those flashbacks and you can just go on watching without recalling a scene you thought you might have missed at some point to understand where they are at. Oh and the kissing scenes starts at ep 30, so there's that drag......and too much breaking up...similar to Meteor Garder 2018... but anyway, all in all, I enjoyed and forgave the flaws....just go with the flow...just watch it and fall in love with Han Shangyan!!!! He is so handsome either frowning or smiling...I mean, his character just has so much charisma! Totally worth it!
Some facts about the leads that you may find interesting:- Adachi Rika (Yo) and Shirasu Jin (Ren) have worked…
@Transition, I cannot understand one scene in ep 16, can you please explain to me? That scene when Ren flipped a coin? Why are they flipping in the first place? To change the bet rules? Like how? Then the result, Ren did not show it, then it switched to the last scene already...
I have mixed feelings about the ending, well, first, they did not follow the orig Hirugao ending, which had much more impact, that audiences will remember and will really leave a mark, and leave a lesson for people that cheating is downright bad. That was why I liked the orig Hirugao though heartbreaking to the core...
But on the other hand, then ending for the K-version was much more bearable, let's say happier, but it did not give the lesson its supposed to...I mean, yeah there were hurt feelings, but still, its kinda fine to cheat hey, just give it some time, and time will fix it for you, kinda vibe. Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone, I know everyone wished for the happy ending. But, yeah, it was good too, I guess, reminded me of the plot and ending of On The Way To The Airport...that drama is about cheating too, but done tastefully, and a happy ending, so yeah...
I felt a bit cheated by this drama...yeah, it was going good, but overhyped at the start. Then it mellowed out in the middle, then the ending was just blah...I mean, couldn't it be more satisfying, like the leads shown to have more decent sweet moments that they care for each other and expressing their love freely, rather than on the earlier parts of the drama, everything seemed like stolen moments, when they are together... felt like it was good at the start then it went downhill from the middle to the end...
Yeah, I know, I know, that this show is called "Fake Affair" and it would not have a plot at at all, if not for Hama Shouko lying to Jyo that she is married, but still I want to rant: I am getting frustrated with Shouko not being straight and honest to Jyo that she is not married and that she is single and that she is totally free...so that Jyo and her will have a good relationship then all is good so that they can love each other openly...then she can support Jyo openly with his struggles right now...*sigh*
If they are gonna base it from the orig Hirugao, there was no happy ending from the drama and even the movie...so…
Yes, I hope that they do something here on the K-version so that JiEun and Jung Woo have a little hope...And I'm sorry, I had not watched "It Started With a Kiss", that is why I cannot relate to how it will connect or be similar to Love Affairs in the Afternoon or Hirugao....But thank you for explaining it... However, in regards to dramas, I feel that they will always give it a sad ending, due to the audience and conservative society too, that affairs are bad and for people who are cheated on, in real life...they ought to give a sad ending, I guess. And if we are basing it from the orig story, Hirugao, those definitely have harsh endings, both drama and movie...the only thing I see positive is that Sawa (the FL in Hirugao) got pregnant with Kitano sensei...when they did not have kids with their previous spouses...it shows that they got blessed too a little bit since they will be having a child of their own...that is the only light at the end of the tunnel I see for them or I mean, Sawa...
Hi Transition, just saw this question of yours. Yeah, I have not seen that scene on the original. The one with…
I think that, that scene is from the one where You Qing dreamt of DaRen on that IKEA set acting as her husband (before she was supposed to get married to LiWei), then that scene came true when DaRen actually surprised her on her birthday when You Qing was actually working at IKEA already. Not sure if this (the one with sunflower in the jap version)will be the substitute of that scene...
While waiting for the new episodes to release I was looking around for interviews or clips of the cast but couldn't…

I want them to be happy too... but I think the drama and the movie (the Jap version) was meant to tell people that affairs are bad no matter what. That was the message they wanted to convey. I don't know if they will give the K-version happiness a bit... Don't get me wrong, I want a happy ending. But probably do it the right way, if someone is really unhappy in a relationship, have the courage to divorce and let go, then find another person to be happy with. If you met the other person while still married, tell them that you are still married and you have to divorce first. Then if they are for real, like true love, then they will wait. If not, then its not real, they were just there to play aka "affair" in the first place.
