I know...I cried at the end of the movie Hirugao, but the drama, not so much...just sad...I wonder what they will…
Yeah, because affairs are bad in the first place...no matter how you give reasons why you do it, it's still bad...that is why I understand the ending of Hirugao drama and movie...just wants to tell us that no matter what, do not do it because it is not right...
I wonder which ending they will follow from Hirugao? The drama ending or the movie ending....the movie ending is a bit better, but so heartbreaking...i cried lots...but atleast they had a child...so yeah, sorry I am marking a big spoiler here...
Why can't people just let people find happiness? I'm not saying they haven't wronged people - and even in unforgivable…
If they are gonna base it from the orig Hirugao, there was no happy ending from the drama and even the movie...so I am not sure what will they do in the korean version
@Transition, yes, on the Taiwanese version, Da Ren said to You Qing that he wants to take responsibility of her…
Oh, don't worry about it. We all have a lot of dramas in our minds. That is the purpose of the remakes, to make us recall the orig drama again, but then, have a fresh new look on it. I am just glad as a drama addict, that I have someone to discuss these with. In the end, let's all just relax and enjoy the wonderful show :) Thank you for all the suggestions on what to watch. I will surely enjoy it!
@Transition, yes, on the Taiwanese version, Da Ren said to You Qing that he wants to take responsibility of her…
In the orig "In Time With You", in Ep 12, You Qing did realize that she loves DaRen more, after she read the note Daren left her on her house mailbox that he wishes her good-luck on her wedding. It made her realize that she will be losing DaRen for good when she gets married to another person. So she decided to go to Li Wei's place that night itself, to break off the wedding. But when she got to Li Wei's place, before You Qing could even tell LiWei about the breaking off, she saw the secretary of LiWei in a towel only just finished showering. So yeah, You Qing did realize even before she caught LiWei blatantly cheating on her. And yes, You Qing may be in denial all along, but she unknowingly loves DaRen as a man. You Qing was only denying herself of love since DaRen told her since high school that he will never love her as a woman. So You Qing was holding herself back all that time. But its ok because it made for the sweetest love realization of all time, that she loves her bestfriend. I also liked that she went into a long vacation after the wedding break up so she can "refresh" herself of all the things she had been through and truly be ready for DaRen's love. And guess what, the ever patient DaRen was just there waiting for her at the end of it all. I love it. Anyway, back to Satomi, I will try to watch "From 5 - 9" first because of Yamapi too...I love that actor as well. So handsome and charismatic. Thank you for the suggestions.

Yes, I read that too somewhere that actor Shirasu Jin tried to watch the orig In Time With You, but then stopped because he says that he does not want to be influenced how Chen Bolin portrayed the part of DaRen/Ren, and says that he will just do what is on the script and what is directed to him. Well, its ok, maybe we are really bound to see another DaRen/You Qing in this version of our fave drama. I see that we both like the current You Qing(Yo), so I think its only fitting that she has a different DaRen (Ren) too. And to be fair to this cast, Yo and Ren has chemistry you can't deny. Maybe because they are close friends in real life and it really radiates through the screen (as you have said). I haven't watched the actress Satomi Ishihara in any drama or movie yet, but I looked at her picture, she's pretty and sure resembles Ariel Lin. But it does not guarantee that she will make a good Yo. I am pretty satisfied with Rika, seeing how she is a good match with Jin. I just hope that the ending will be as satisfying, or more satisfying than the orig because I want to see Rika and Jin (Yo and Ren) more as lovers than just friends who are hiding their feelings from each other.

@Transition, I like this version among the other versions. It closely follows the plot, while trimming the unnecessary characters (unnecessary brother, his in-laws, sister, secretaries, etc.) to make the story more focused on the plot at hand (finally taking a step towards love from being best friends). I am also fine with some of the plot changes, like the gift of Ren to Yo, instead of the lion stuff, from the DaRen given to You Qing, they replaced it with the octopus stuffed toy, I like that, and many other substitutions. Yes, also liked the songs from the original version,as well as this new Japanese version. What I am not really fond of is Ren himself, I know, he is handsome, sure, but not to my taste, personally. Or maybe, I just have this really big crush on the actor, Chen Bolin and his portrayal of Li Da Ren. Like, he is just this unbelievably calm, relaxed, reasonable, level headed, and very warm hearted guy to match our dearest hot headed You Ching. Ren is somewhat a little too upbeat, and outspoken and not quite catching the character of the original DaRen. I don't know, just my own thoughts. But otherwise, I like how Yo is nicer than You Ching. And everything else is good in this new Jap version for me.

It is one of my fave dramas that is why I know the details too well. I watch it from time to time. I know its not a perfect drama, the start turned me off at first, but it really captured the raw emotions of bestfriends turning to lovers theme and almost missing to do so.
I just watched episode 9 and 10 with Chinese subtitles. Here are some of my thoughts. [NOTE! These are spoilers…
@Transition, yes, on the Taiwanese version, Da Ren said to You Qing that he wants to take responsibility of her by marrying her, but You Qing thought DaRen was only being sarcastic just because he is angry at DingLi Wei(ex). And yes, ex bf(Ding Li Wei) also deleted the love proposal of DaRen on You Qing's phone, but it was a text message, not a voice message like on the Japanese version. Yes, DaRen got sick and You Quing took care of him too.
male lead lowkey looks like Jaehyun (nct) and Jimin's (bts) lovechild. Besides that, this is such a fun watch
Yes ML is very handsome. I heard that on the orig manga, the ML is supposed to be a South Korean guy with a K-pop idol looks...and the setting was in South Korea, not Hakata like in the drama. And they changed the ML to a Japanese guy. But the changes did not affect the story in my opinion.
I am liking this drama, ML is so handsome! I think this is a one ep per week drama again *sigh* these Japanese dramas make me anticipate alot like they did to me for Kakafukaka...hope its worth it
Just finished watching eps 1-4. I thought it would be a boring drama since the start is all corporate stuff that I had to pause scenes so I can read the long subs. But then somewhere, it got fun. Now I can’t stop laughing at the scenes. What I thought would be a dry drama, is very entertaining. Will finish this. Love Sunghoon Oppa!
There should be a ban on naming characters where the 3 Korean syllables make a word in another language. Ahn Dan…
I watched 2 dramas where the FL’s had the same name: Han Yeu Reum. Discovery of Romance and Where Stars Land. Probably there is a nice recall to the name because this name means summertime or springtime in their language.
Hmmm, another version of In Time With You... will be watching this.... I did not like how The Time We Were Not In Love and Evolution of our Love was portrayed... so let’s see for this version...
I just finished this movie, after watching the drama. And yeah, I have read all the comments below and other sites as well; that this kind of drama or movie or theme will not have a happy ending. I agree. However, I feel that the movie was needed to see some closure on the relationship of Sawa and Yuichiro. I mean, atleast, it was not just a game, their forbidden relationship, Yuichiro was serious about Sawa to the point that even if he had to go to exert effort to get the requirements for his divorce, he did it, no matter what, just to stand for Sawa and get married, supposed to be. The registering for marriage was just 1 day away from when Yuichiro died because of his obsessive ex. This just proves that it was the right decision to divorce his psycho stupid ex wife and be happy with Sawa. Not that I support cheating, I don't. I support happiness though because life is short. And they were happy for a bit, and Sawa will be happy soon since she is pregnant. But to say that Yuichiro and Sawa should not have gone and started a relationship, that is where I disagree. If someone makes you happy, then go for it. Just minimize the damages. Get a divorce right away. It is a form of breakup. Just with more papers and complications. But It happens in real life anyway, that people get a second chance at happiness. Like with their second marriages. or third or fourth even....It is just so unfortunate that in this drama, then movie, the ML died because of his weak ex that cannot move on from him. And that is one more point, that only proves that Yuichiro is really a great catch and does not deserve a psycho like his ex.
Anyway, back to Satomi, I will try to watch "From 5 - 9" first because of Yamapi too...I love that actor as well. So handsome and charismatic. Thank you for the suggestions.
