another case of interesting storyline, poor execution. would've been worthwhile if they focused less on the power ranger style evil goons chasing kids for half of every ep or se hee being cartoonishly evil (that lab scene in ep 5 was so ridiculous lmao like???) and instead leaned more into the philosphical aspects

2nd half was way better than the ridiculousness in the korean version. still a bit dry for my taste though

it took me several times to get past ep 4. i even took a break for over a year. i'd say power through it if you're into the genre because it's a slow burn that's well worth the build up. if you're not into these types of dramas anyways, just drop

i was skeptical about starting this because i watched the korean version and i hate rewatching things lol but this is great. the boss in this version seems to fit the character more. only 2 eps in but looking forward to seeing what other differences there are

i think the games would've just continued on. for the vips to give away that much money for each game indicates it's chump change to them, so i don't think gi hun's winnings would've held a candle to their wealth, power, and resources. not to forget there are games in other countries

yeah, the piece dynamic was so weird this season. it ensured the same people would get stuck in prison round after round until all but the hidden stage winner got picked off. i much preferred how s1 set it up so prison was limited to 2 people and only they had access to the hidden stage

yes, i completely agree. i think it was easy to get caught in the emotions during the first watch because everything was moving so fast. their behavior in part is also a reflection of the conditions they grew up in

i'm in the middle of ep 8 where they finished the treasure island main match and the living room alliance winning everything is making my blood boil. doesn’t seem worth watching when there's not much suspense. just gonna drop
