On You Are My Fateful Love 24 days ago
i've managed to watch 6 episodes of this, it started really interesting and cute but I feel like the plot around the plagiarism stuff has been dragging, when will the leads eventually get together? I've watched slow burns before so I have lots of patience for this tropes but somehow in this drama it's sort of not selling for me but i still want to try continue watching it because of the leads.

This drama is not for everyone and editing wasn't A-level quality style like the usual high budget produced cdramas now a days, this drama brings back the old wuxia style. I suggest for those who don't know if it will be worth it or not, try watching atleast 7 episodes first before you decide just because of other peoples comments. Who knows you might end up liking this one because we all basically have different likes and dislikes after all.

I thought there would be some story to her mother’s hairpin but there wasn’t
same since they placed so much emphasis on it but it seems it's just plot device for the leads to get closer to each other

Goodbye to this drama. The best part for me was the first part, i'm a bit sad the second part failed to deliver like the first. I think more episodes would have helped with the second arc of the story and made it more compelling sadly 40 eps were too little for this.

Go for it, you will not regret it. This drama is a gem. I binged this and I wish I could watch it again for the…
Thanks! I am off to start this now. I hope it doesn't disappoint and stays consistent all throughout. I just finished POJ and the problem I had with that one is the second half suddenly became underwhelming. It started out so good so my expectations elevated.

plot wise i prefer sokp. zlh's character is red flag here. been his fan since sokp.
I see. I am about to start it now since POJ has just ended. POJ was an okay-ish drama started out strong but the latter half kind of disappointed me.

I miss Mu Qingyan so bad, it seems everyone in GTG fam had moved on. I'm still stuck here. I miss the days so bad when this was airing and the comment section was lively and we're all over for Mu Qingyan and Zhaozhao.

The flows actually started prior to the battle, already in ep. 29 (or maybe even earlier), the drama didn't make…
I didn't read the novel since I have no time to read these days due to work so I didn't know about these. Thanks for giving a very detailed explanation about it, they changed a lot and there's so many loopholes. Lord Changxin's death was too quick and they didn't even show how General He died. About the princess it didn't cross my mind much since I don't really pay attention to her scenes, but I do agree with you on the latter. It was mentioned how Li and Wei were at odds with each other so yeah it's confusing and sort of doesn't make sense when Wei Yan should've been wary of the Li's or the other way around. The writing for these parts are questionable indeed.

Episode 30 was not the best truly, everything was so fast and not properly edited, some loopholes here and there,…
Tbh I was bored until ep 16 came and I was really already enjoying it only for it to be ruined by ep 30. That's the point, they knew exactly they had only 40 eps they could've done this eps better not make it half-baked just to give us a 40 eps drama. It's a shame. Yes, I think she will after this considering commandment li confronted her about it. I am hoping the next battle scenes are going to be better and not abrupt like in ep 30. The previous battle scenes before this episode was really good.

yeah exactly, it felt more like they are pushing changyu to be hero and does not want to kill sui yuanqing at…
Exactly. I heard this is a female-centric drama I guess that is the reason why but they could've let Marquis Wuan with some powerful scenes at some point, not just leave all to Changyu since they keep elaborating before how he is powerful but we barely see him do anything yet. I could barely feel his power. I don't understand why they decided to go with that writing. Do you know if that scene was really part of the novel? I think this drama is decent, I did like certain stuff but yeah I sort of agree a 9.2 rating is too high for this considering its flaws.

I find the writing and directing for ep 30 to be weak. Some scenes were just too questionable. The battle was intense at first and I did love that we somewhat get a few seconds of the main leads fighting but everything fell through when they cut the battle scenes and used some clips as flashbacks instead of actual scenes. One of the major flaw I found was during the scene of Marquis Wuan after having successfully caught Sui Yuanqing clearly with his spear, he clearly said he'd held him "captive" when he could've just killed that guy on the spot then the next flashback quickly just showed Marquis Wuan killing another trusted guy of Sui Yuanqing but they never clearly elaborated how Sui Yuanqing managed to slip out of the so-called almighty Marquis Wuan.

This flaw right here is inconsistent to Marquis Wuan's glorious character, we never see him killing any of the powerful bad guys, this job was mostly done by Changyu. Another thing I had a problem with (i didn't read the novel so idk if this was really part of it) is how Changyu just had to knock out Commandment Li out of his own will, I get she did it for Yanzheng in the past but why did she also need to do that for Commandment Li. I also don't get the screentime for Sui Yuanqing after having successfully escaped, why'd they have to give so much ample time for that illegitimate daughter just for her to kill her own self after a few seconds. I feel like everything was too abrupt in this episode and wished they could've done better with these certain scenes. I hope the next battle scenes would be better than this.

I'm on ep 10 and slowly losing interest, when does the story ever pick up its pace again, I feel like it is moving so slow. The annoying neighbors and villagers constant gossiping and bullying of the female lead felt repetitive, i'm so tired of it. Plus him getting constantly injured again and again. Like I want to see the main leads going to war already.
