She avoided him hardly in 2-3 episodes out of 16 episodes and still they had maximum screentime. It's a rom com…
In ep 6 they were together for more than half of the episode and she avoids him in that ep for like 10mins. Then she goes back to the present. Ep 7 was there to show where the two are in their different life. That's there to show the multiple stages you spoke about and it was still among one of the most entertaining episodes even with much scenes with the leads and she wasn't avoiding him. She thought he won't even remember her. She went to the bridge and multiple times tried to see him but he became too big for her to just randomly visit him. Ep 8 again 80% of the episode screentime was for the leads. Ep 9 and 10 are literally the only episodes were she intentionally avoided him for a long time and still they had plenty of scenes together. Then again in ep 13 they have fewer scenes compared to other episodes but ep 14,15,16 were again was re establing their relationship. Ep 16 was completely dedicated to them. LR is literally among the very few dramas that concentrate completely on the leads and their changing dynamo. It's a love story so obviously there will be conflicts and the leads won't be in a relationship for too long and if they did there will be more people complaining how they are bored of the lovey dovey scenes of the leads and how they lost interest after the leads got together. Even without the leads being officially together LR established their relationship step by step and had give majority of the screentime to them and made majority of the people watching it while it's on air hooked to it till the end.
I watched since day one and followed it every week until episode 10 and I still think this is one of the most…
Similarly everyone who gave this a 10 personally feel this is more entertaining than other rom coms they have seen. As simple as that. I also always ends up being disappointed in cdramas and most of them have way too many episodes and I cannot stand the dubbing and most of the times avg to below avg acting. So I simply don't watch them. I personally feel most cdramas with 9 rating that I have seen don't deserve it because of the said reasons but I simply watch it, rate it and move on. Don't feel the need to call out people who likes and enjoys them.
I think most (not all) of the "overrated" comments are made by people who saw the 9.2 rating and be like Wow!…
Some are getting offended that a vast majority enjoyed what they couldn't and simply because they didn't enjoy it, it's not supposed to be well made or good. This is literally one of the best rom coms from kdramas. It had all the formulas that's needed for a perfect rom com. The most important thing for a rom com is to get the perfect leads and LR nailed it with the casting.
I'm so glad they changed directors and the costumes! They really did Im Sol dirty in that inital haircut and clothes.…
Yes. Considering the drama didn't had much sponsors and PPL, it's very well shot and aesthetically pleasing. The colour grading and set designs are also really nice. Sol's wardrobes were really cute and colourful in school and college and very sophisticated in the present. Same for sunjae.
I guess that's what PD suggested KYH to improve her appearance coz although she's still cute, she definitely looks…
Ya. I don't think he meant anything negative. She clearly seems to be comfortable around him and there are multiple occasions in the BTS where he is adoring her and keep saying how pretty she is. With no PPL and not that big of a budget, LR surely is a very pretty looking drama and after seeing the leaked BTS and photos before the reshoot, the new director clearly is the one that brought all the small things about sol and sunjae we all went crazy for.
I want to tell myself she still looks pretty. But the bangs are really distracting me. Do they look like that…
Ya. I remember watching some old Korean movies with the fl having this type of atrocities bangs 😂 Also it's not just the bangs but her expression and dress were also bad. Also what made the photobhoot pic so amazing is sunjae putting that heart sign on Sol's cheeks which is not there in this pic
As if k-pop idols don't have 30+ yr old fangirls. Most of the k-pop groups who are in the industry for 10+yrs…
She don't spend money on multiple k-pop groups. She is only a fan of a single group and a single idol. She is clearly shown to be fully capable of differentiating her admiration for her idol and obsessing over him. Also she wasn't unemployed, she did freelance work and neither she is shown to be poor or spending all her income on merchs. Just because you in your 50s don't spend money on merchs doesn't mean someone in their 30s cannot esp with the money they earned on their own. It's just like spending money on cosmetics or perfumes or wardrobe.
It's problematic and unhealthy only if she was spending the money of her family for stuff like that and had an unhealthy obsession with him. It's clearly shown why she admires him to that level. He is the reason she got the will to live on. In the second timeline when everything changed she is no more shown to be a fangirl.
Yep. There are some rather persistent doomposters here in comments. What I don't get - if you don't like LR it's…
Exactly. The people who did constructive criticism don't mock the people who like this drama. They simply state what they liked and disliked about and why they disliked it and move on. But some are mocking and judging the taste of people who like this drama and then compare it to their fav dramas. It's pretty obvious they are butthurt that LR gained the popularity they wanted for their fav drama or LR surpassed the popularity of their fav drama. They are the ones that keep comparing it to other shows. Then there will always be a set of female lead haters. That set is there for every single kdrama regardless of the genre. No matter how perfect the fl is they will hate on her if the ml goes through a little inconvenience. They behave as if they will pass with flying colours if they are put in the same situation as the fl or are perfect flawless human being in real life.
My biggest issue is that this Drama showed no repercussion for the former assistant and the ex boyfriend.
The ex bf wasnt exactly a full on an evil guy. He was more on the not morally upright type. He wasn't involved in planning and plotting against the fl. Throughout the drama he was on two minds about whether the assistant is lying or not and he helped the fl at the end. The ending was pretty realistic. There are a lot of people we don't get along on a personal level but still work with them on the professional front. The assistant lost her reputation and work. She lost everything she gained by lying and manipulating.

It's a rom com done right, not an epic romance.

The original photo bhoot pic of Sol and sunjae.
Thank God they changed Sol's entire look for high school. Imagine the hate she might have got for not being pretty enough for sunjae.
