i decided to watch this one because of my new found love for kim seon ho and i dont regret watching it... the drama is set in the subway station and showed the kind of cases the subway police has to deal with... their job was pretty much calm and quiet with some petty cases here and there until the FL joins them... she is extremely reckless and will do the exact opposite of the rules and regulations a police officer must follow...
i liked the overall story and the villian and the mystery... there are only two things i dont like... the way the FL's character was written and the length... the drama could have been tightly packed without any romance and focusing mainly only on the cases... by the end, it felt like the police was unnecessarily playing cat and mouse with the villain just to reach ep 16... the FL and her reckless behaviour came out as irritating rather than badass... dont know whether its the writer's fault or the director's, i just couldn't connect with her or sympathize with her... its not like moon geun young is a bad actress who cannot portray her role properly as she was amazing as the 2nd character... the fault lies with the makers... there is a fine line b/w being badass and annoying... the FL crossed that line when she put the ML in difficult positions repeatedly and unapologetically for her own personal reasons... also they made the entire police department dumb and ignorant just so she can shine... thats quite unreal... it would have been fine if she was shown as this super-smart go-getter kind of character before she joined the police force but they show her to be just a very ordinary girl who was leading an average life... suddenly after just 2 years she is smart enough to put an entire group of experienced police officers behind... its not even like she was in the force for 2 years... the FL remembering the entire subway blueprint is the only thing that seemed real as she was overly obsessed over it for 2 yrs... the makers overdid her character to the level i didn't sympathize with her when she was desperately looking for her mentally challenged sister... on the other hand i actually felt bad for the SFL even though she was rude and arrogant because what the ML did to her was unfair... he broke up with her for his own good and then moved on to another girl right in front of her without giving her a proper closure... her rudeness, jelousy and lack of empathy wasnt overdone to the level i felt irritated with her...
i liked how they showed what people who look after mentally challenged people go through... the way the ML looked after his mother is heartwarming... also they shed light on how women are violated in the metro stations and how men get away with it by hiding behind the crowd...
School 2015 second lead had way more chance and they even won best couple award but still she chose njh's character...…

if in start up dalmi ends up choosing hjp, it will have the same problem ( i am talking about the 1% chance)... they didnt show much depth in the relationship b/w hjp and dalmi after the leap and her suddenly realizing her love for hjp will be so out of the blue and random... i am not a big fan of dodal and they are a snooze fest but if the makers are going for a closed ending then dodal is the only option... if they go for an open ending i hope they show dodal realizing they just needed closure with each other and then end it there... i also dont want dalmi deciding to give a chance to HJP for the sake of it( to make the fans happy)... the 3 of them going their separate ways in their personal life and sharing a healthy professional life will be enough...

i watched school 2015 after the lockdown and i already knew who she ends up with... so i didnt invest much time in it... i just watched it and at times fast forwarded a lot... the problem with that drama was that NJH's character was in love with the FL's twin sister for a long time and he was nice to her coz he thought she is his childhood sweetheart... after he found out the truth they didnt have much deep moments and by then the FL and SL had bonded over so much... SL liked her for who she is... then suddenly the ML is in love with the FL forgetting about his childhood sweetheart... i didnt even get the last scene b/w the twin and the ML... did she also liked him and backed off because she was going abroad and her sister liked him too or she never liked him in a romantic way?
i get why the FL fell for him but i never got when he fell for her and forgot about his childhood bestie...
also like startup, the backstory and acting of the SL was better...

kim go eun is a good actress but not made for larger than life kind of kdramas like goblin or tkem... she is better in movies and dramas like cheese in the trap where the story is more down to earth and complex... i think she will be good in suspense thriller or dark mystery dramas instead of dramas like tkem and goblin... goblin has the best bromance in kdrama and the best 2nd lead couple... lee dong wook and gong yoo have more chemistry than a lot of kdrama leads including gong yoo's chemistry with kim go eun...

Most of the hallyu popularity comes from China and as far as I have noticed Chinese fans don't care about acting skills... even most of the international fans also don't care about acting skills... Tkem fans were comparing the ratings of tkem and iotnbo and said tkem had 10+rating which iotnbo never had completely ignoring the fact that one is a public channel and the other is a private channel... Then they fight over who is the better actor and more famous one... JCW fans will sit in a corner and attacks only if someone talks bad about JCW and thankfully that rarely happened... Every week I would check out the comments in soompi article related to the rating of iotnbo and BR just to see the fanwar... It was entertaining... I personally didn't like the overall story and how they moved the story forward in the expense of dalmi's characterization... The is no consistency in her character after the initial episodes and not much character growth as well... Everything she has achieved till date has something to do with others favouring her and not solely because of her hardwork... She got the ceo position even without qualification due to dosan, she had the freedom to even ask the basic questions from her mentor because hjp was willing to do so (even when we do intership at some place and we donr know the very basic of what we are going to do, our mentor will either ask us to learn the basic on our own by reading about it or will give us an earful for not even knowing the basics)... No one would sit down and answer all the 461 questions in which some can be answered by Google... Sst went with a non-profitable project against hjp and he still made a detailed list of investors for them... Lastly she got an investor at the end not because of her capability to convince the investor to invest in noongil but through blackmailing... After getting fired from Sst she got the job at injae solely because injae still has a soft corner for her little sister... Injae wouldn't have hired if a random girl came and said injae thinks the same way as her father...
