Why does ksh think he is not good at acting? He is one of the best when it comes to Korean dramas where a lot of them survive because of their looks... He should try for movies... I would love to see him in dramas like hospital playlist.. he is like jo Jung suk... Very versatile...

I only watched the initial episodes of king in love and dropped it after 5-6 episodes I guess but from whatever I remember it was more of the story of the male lead and his journey and his unrequired love was just part of it... He seems to have loved the second male lead more than the female lead... LolHe also had some grey shade to his character and heard it's based on a real king who was rumoured to be bi-sexual... Memorist kind of dragged by the end but the initial episodes were a rollercoaster ride... It could have been the best suspense thriller if they cut short the length... My 3 fav female characters of this yr are th FLs from flower of evil, memorist and 365 repeat the year... I liked the sassiness in moonyoung from iotnbo but the FLs from the above 3 were emotionally and mentally very strong...

I haven't seen any of the other works of this writer but I feel she is also overhyped like kim eun sook after watching startup Except for the bromance and comedy in goblin I didn't like anything else of her work. I dropped dots and a gentleman's dignity, I went through physical pain watching heirs... Secret garden had its moments and was better than the other 3 but some scenes were way too extreme and over dramatic... I haven't seen mr.sunshine... her female leads act dumb when it comes to the guys even if they are teachers or doctors...

I guess its good because the good underrated dramas didn't see any decrease in rating whereas the hyped up dramas with popular actors saw a dip in the rating... This will balance the rating perfectly....

Winter garden couple didn't had a 3rd angle and there were subtle hints that YYS kind of had a thing for winter from the start... Here dalmi shows no sign of any interest and all the hints and parallels are just there without any base. It's mainly there only for the audience to keep up the team dosan v/s team hjp alive till the end... Even after 3yrs dalmi isn't close enough with hjp to think he has a chance...
At this point the only thing I can hope for is dodal dating for few months and they realising that they are not meant to be... They both couldn't forget each other because they didn't get a proper closure... Then an open ending indicating something might happen b/w dalmi and hjp in the future... But then this is the typical cliched kdrama and I know what's gonna happen...

memorist could have been almost perfect like flower of evil if they cut short the episodes to 12-14 episodes... 16 episodes is the reason why they had to go with unnecessary twists... 365 was good as it is and what i like about these two is they didnt squeeze in unnecessary romance for the sake of it and concentrated on the main plot...
I haven't seen Suzy in anything else so don't know about her improvement but I found her quite average and I guess some fault lies on the way her character was written as well... There are scenes were it's hard to tell what exactly dalmi feels like when she kind of had a doubt on HJP and his similarities with the letter dosan, in 2-3 occassions she looks at him which a blank expression which I guess was supposed to be suspicious or curiosity or both... Even when hjp confesses to her at the restaurant she just sits there with a blank expression through out the scene... She is pretty decent when she has to convey the emotions through dialogues but when it comes to convey the emotions through expressions she falls flat.... Then the chemistry b/w the leads are not that great but that's because of the writing of the love story b/w them I guess...
Saha didn't had to expression much emotions in most of the scenes and her overall styling and dialogues goes with her character... So more than half the job was done there... She didn't had much to do performance wise.. so there is nothing much to say...
Injae as a character is strong and since she didn't had too much screen time her character didn't do anything stupid like saha falling for chulsan...I guess the only advantage of having lesser screen time was the makers didn't had time to ruin her character... Kim hana did a good job with whatever she got...
I guess the actress playing the grandma did the best acting out of the female characters... Her scenes with hjp without a doubt is the highlight of the drama and the only time I cried was when she and hip was onscreen together... From her acting to the character everything was nicely done..
Acting wise this drama is quite average... Like none of the actors were bad (except yongsan crying scene which was cringe-worthy) but except for ksh and grandma no one gave outstanding performances either... No one ruined a character by their acting and I guess that's pretty decent...the characters were ruined by the writing and it's not the actor's fault....

Gu junpyo is like one of the most toxic guys out there.. dosan is literally a saint in front of him... Cannot belive there was a time girls wanted guys like gu junpyo as bf... I neve got the appeal of that character...
