Those parellel and metaphors were either there for the makers to continue giving hope to hjo fans and make them watch it the end or were unintentional and hjp shippers read too much into those scenes... The former is my bet... They were just making the hopes up for hjp fans so that they won't drop the drama... Yes one cannot force love and that's exactly the reason why the audience cannot connect with the love b/w dalni and dosan which looked forced... There is no depth to their feelings... From dodal falling in love to HJP loosing his chances everything looks forced and unnatural... The audience should feel that dodal had something deep enough for them to not be able to move on from each other for 3yrs... They basically knew each other only for 3months and for more than half the time he was pretending to be someone he is not and she was going on about the dosan from the letter...
I will give you a perfect example... In strong woman do bong soon, the FL was in love with her childhood friend for more than 10yrs but the writers made her move on and fall in love with the male lead in a very logical way and their relationship also had depth... That's how you show a girl falling out of love with someone and then fall in love with someone else... In this process none of the 3 characters were butchered and even the off timing b/w her friend and her were done smoothly without making the viewers frustrated... Everything went with the flow and none of the characters were butchered in the process... Everyone was right in their own place and no one was to be blamed...
This is not the case with startup... They basically forced a love triangle, then compromised on the growth of the FL for it, wasted the potential of a character like HJP and the list goes on...
No clueee. Plot wise totnt is way better than start up but I am not feeling the chemistry between the main leads…
i think the chemistry is fine considering they dont put too many forceful romantic scenes and its definitely better than the chemistry b/w the startup leads... yeon and jiah looked like a couple in the last 2 episodes and the kissing scene in the bed was pretty hot for kdrama standards... they have the passable chemistry that most kdrama leads have... not bad but not too good either...
In Jae was really good in episode 14. love her scenes.

not just the airing dramas, iotnbo fell from 9.2 to 9, hospital playlist from 9.2 to 9.1.. same with flower of evil and a lot others... esp the popular ones

its definitely better than startup and roy... if you liked the first 6 episodes then you will like the rest of it... its more on the thriller part than romance or light hearted scenes...

now i feel that the characterization in record of youth was better... the leads were boring but still consistent and in character till the end... the only place where startup gets an upper hand is because of HJP and his relationship with grandma..
