i am on ep 12 and the son is the accomplice, not the father.. the son is a complete psycho..
he was a teen when he started working for the lead guy's father and mostly in his early 20s when he went into coma.. he is also the one that killed the lead's father..
People are just so swept up with this favoritism sometimes. How this drama deserves anything above 8 for what…
it has nothing to do with favoritism.. i am not a fan of any of the actors and dropped 2 dramas of park bo gum but so far this one is pretty decent.. it has only been 4 episodes and majority of the people watching it is liking this so the rating is high.. if it was about star power and favoritism them all of lmh, ksh, sjk, jcw dramas would have been above 9 regardless of the quality of the drama considering how big their fan base is.. the drama didnt even finish its first half to pass judgments on the rating of the drama on mdl.. the ratings settle down only after the drama finish airing..
"to an actor, a spoon is just a utensil" so im a half-idiot here asking here what was that line supposed to mean,…
if i remember correctly HJ compared himself to a dirty spoon at a restaurant while considering the dishes as high society people.. but as an actor he seens a spoon as just a utensil and dont compare it to his social status.. something along that line.. i am not very sure but thats what i got from it.. you as an actor a character being poor or rich is just a character that they play and dont mean much.. he was able to vent out his pent up frustration while acting that character..
you cannot expect a 50+ woman in a conservative society like korea to be excited thinking her son could be gay..
Lol.. you seems to make conclusions on your own and I don't think I need to proof my stand on lgbt+.. Anyone with a brain can distinguish b/w right and wrong no matter what a drama shows and if not then blame it on the individual and not on the show.. Even in american shows when someone comes out their parents aren't exactly jumping on the sofa.. there is a reason why it's hard for people to come out.. The mother was never shown hating on her son possibly being gay but afraid which anyone with a common sense can understand.. it's Korea and him being gay can cost him his position which he got throught his hardwork and the family's reputation.. A drama shows the society of their country and not what the outsiders want to see.. if you cannot accept something as simple as that then you should stop watching kdramas..
i guess private channels are increasing the family time to cater to all age audience and increase the trp.. if…
kdramas always show strong family bond regardless of where the show is set.. even if its set in seoul the male lead lives with his family so obviously that cannot be avoided.. his family gives more depth to his character and shows where he comes from.. even in former kdramas that were a success in korea as well as internationally family of atleast one lead is shown..
sky castle was the first time that i see him in a drama !
i first saw him in a-teen and then skycastle.. i only saw the 1 st episode of extracurricular.. it was too dark for my liking so didnt continue watching it but he is a pretty good actor for a new comer..
i guess private channels are increasing the family time to cater to all age audience and increase the trp.. if…
The thing is kdramas are primarily made for korean audience and they will always be the priority and then the Asian market and then the rest of the world.. the makers get their money back when the ratings on channel increases.. also most of the international fans watch kdramas on unofficial online platforms so they don't really care about pleasing the taste of international fans..
Also I didn't say that dramas which concentrates only on the young main characters are no amazing but they only cater to a certain age group of audience who mostly prefer to watch dramas on online platforms.. the best example is iotnbo.. the drama didn't had high rating on channel but was no.1 on all online platforms..
This drama started off with pretty high rating for a cable channel show and it's not like the family drama is unrealistic.. HJ's family behaves the same way any typical middle class family behaves and that makes his story more realistic
I dont know about you people, but lately the nosy, meddlesome and annoying big family ( or village or group or…
i guess private channels are increasing the family time to cater to all age audience and increase the trp.. if the story is only about 3 people in their 20s and their career struggles then it wont interest the family audience and will only get young audience who mostly prefer to watch things online rather than on tv..
I dont think he has feelings but someone pretty/cute gets closer like that to you that would be my reaction as…
he was kind of excited to go to the salon and get his make up done by HJ when he was at the gym with his mother.. his mother kind of became a bit suspicious but then brushed it off.. he clearly started to get attracted towards her in a very subtle way.. its a typical thing in kdramas where the second lead becomes a spectator to the mess b/w the leads and still harbor feelings for the female lead.. its one way to gain sympathy from the audience.. poor little thing loves the girl but still helps her with her love life.. anyways lets wait and watch if he will be just a spectator or a catalyst in creating a mess b/w the leads.. :)
i love this drama and this drama is the main reason why i decided to watch backstreet rookie.. the director has a quirky sense of film making.. kim namgil is the coolest priest ever.. even the bad guys like the bob hair guy and his boss were super likeable and by the end i was rooting for them..
i like the way HJ and JA's relationship is progressing but i dont get the sudden feelings of HH towards JA.. they hardly met 2 times and the 3rd time he is giving her the looks.. even his mother is sensing something and its way too soon.. JA kind of made it obvious that she and HJ are getting closer so HH will be a total a**hole if he still develops feelings for her out of nowhere..
i like that they didnt stretched the fan misunderstanding for too long.. the girl made it way too obvious and HJ is smart enough to catch on..
hae hyo's mother dont come off as evil.. she comes off as obsessed and immature person.. she seems to been attached to HJ's mother but is too class conscious to try to be friends with her.. she reminds me of the mothers from high society( hyungsik's mother) and heirs.. too much class conscious but cannot stand against their sons if they get too stubborn..
what this has 40 eps??? even though it's only 30 mins long per ep, that's still very long for a kdrama.
its a standard 20 episode kdrama.. most kdramas are either 16 or 20 episodes.. this one aired on SBS and national channel kdramas tends to be 20 episodes most of the times..
if it was about star power and favoritism them all of lmh, ksh, sjk, jcw dramas would have been above 9 regardless of the quality of the drama considering how big their fan base is..
