this drama could have been a perfect rom-com if it was only 12 episodes.. the first half was hilarious and park seojoon did an amazing job.. after ep 11-12 the drama was running without any purpose and only had some comedy scenes.. it could hold the excitement i had in the first half..
the first half of the drama has 10/10 rewatch value and i still at times watch some of the comedy scenes..

you cannot expect a 50+ woman in a conservative society like korea to be excited thinking her son could be gay..

i watched the first 7 episodes 3 years ago right after it finished airing and dropped it coz i was bored.. i watched the rest of the episodes in the last 2 days and surprisingly liked it..
when i started watching ep 8 two days ago i thought i wont remember anything but i kind of had an idea about whatever was going on so i didnt had to rewatch the first half..
i guess this drama picks up only in the second half as i remember the first half was way too depressing as nothing worked for any of the leads.. everything started working for them and the story started picking up in the second half only..

she is the female lead so obviously she will be in more than half of each episodes and she was good in it as well..
its about 4 friends and their romance,..

not that big controversy as such but censorboard kind of send some warning or something based on just 50 complaints.. the details are somewhere in the comment session of iotnbo.. in short some random mess out of nothing.. it might affect its retelecast in korea and thats all..

she is not a stalker.. she knows everything because any fan will know everything about their favorite thats available on the net.. she dont know things about him that he didnt disclose in the public..
she clearly never went to his work place or tried to meet him until she herself has to be in the same place as him due to her work.. she also didnt cross her line and went crazy when he asked her to join him with his friends to hang out..
her behavior is a of a sane level headed fan than an obsessed stalker fan.. the girls that go to his part time work places are the obsessed stalker fans..

its pre-produced and covid wasnt that much big in s.k untill 2 3 weeks ago..

i think before going to the military, there will be crack in HH and HY's friendship and when HY comes back HH will already be a big star..

he is a friendly guy and said he makes people comfortable instantly. they all are of same age and he isnt that big of a celebrity to be conscious about who he associates with.. she is not the crazy and obsessed kind of fan who dont know how to behave in front of her idol and is also very matured..
so their conversations and friendship looked very organic

there are strong rumors of some celebrities having sponsors to support them in return of favors and the makers only showed reality.. its disturbing but its true. people in power(regardless of gender) try to take advantage of younger ones and it happens in all industries esp entertainment industry were people are more vulnerable..

this is preproduced so we can the writer wont change the story according to rating.. thats a relief..
we can only hope the entire story is good..

this is a melodrama so we cannot be too optimistic..

i just hope they dont turn the 2nd lead into a jealous asshole..

i think HH and HY will be the first ones to throw something at the 3rd friend when his relation with the sister comes out..

i put my two bucks on ep no. 12.. lmao..

him dying didnt even cross my mind.. now i am worried for him.. :(

true.. she is the typical rich mother who is overly obsessed with their children's life... dont know when kdramas will show decent rich mothers.. it is way too kdrama cliche..
i am waiting for the moment when the 2nd lead will fall for the female lead and the mother is ready with the envelope and a glass of water.. lol

i rewatched this drama today and now i miss d.o more.. he is so cute and adorable in this drama( he always is but still).. his comedy scenes were hilarious and the initial episodes were laugh riots..

the brother dying still gets to me.. i felt so bad for the crown princess and the brother. i remember when i first watched it, i had hope that he will survive till the villain dagged the sword into his heart.. since this was a rom-com i knew the leads were gonna end up together no matter what so there separation and emotional scenes didnt get to me that much.. i was more eager to know how these two will end up and their ending made me cry a bucket.

true.. i feel so bad for the grandfather..

i liked the 2nd episode as well and am thinking of following it..
i feel worse for the second lead coz the poor guy genuinely believes he gets what he gets because he worked hard for it. when are kdramas gonna stop showing obsessive rich mothers? why are they always 1 dimensional?

i liked how the FL and ML got along from the start without much drama or misunderstanding or fight.. it looked very natural.. their friendship looks very organic..

i like the bond b/w the lead and his grandfather.

the first 2 episodes were entirely focused on hye joon and so i got a wider picture of him than the other 2 leads.. i also like the friendship among the guys and the 3rd guy is gonna screw it up by being with HH's sister.. according to bro-code sisters are off limits..

P.S - since nowadays Korean censor board and knetz are way too sensitive i hope they dont create unnecessary controversy over the gay angle.. they already ruined BR and unnecessarily dragged iontbo.. hope this one gets a smooth sail..

i dont think the ML is self centered.. he is very determined to get where he wants to be and may be very stubborn about that.. its not like his family is depended on him and he is only thinking about himself..
he clearly dont have a twisted brain and thats the reason why his former agent took advantage of him and even after knowing that very well he didnt do anything about it..
