if you look pass the controversy over DS, he is portrayed as a very innocent guy.. even though he is an erotic webtoon writer his webtoons end up being more romantic than erotic since he is a virgin.. almost all the characters start off being misunderstood by the audience..

when the drama started it got criticized for the kissing scene and when it ended it got criticized for no kissing scene.. for some reasons the drama came to a point were it became a punching bag for everyone..
its not a bad drama and dont deserve all the hate.. its watchable and has some really good emotional scenes.. sadly due to over criticism, complaints and warning the makers had to change the story by the end and dilute the romance to a level were some people think the leads are like siblings..

i havent seen much jdramas and the ones i have seen i dont remember much..
i have seen some cdramas and thai dramas.. thai dramas can also get weird at times..
out of all the south asian dramas i have seen, kdramas are the least weird ones..

the drama got an official warning from the censor board and the makers had to ton down the romance a lot and edited a lot of scenes.. they made it as clean as it can get..

ep 15 will get on your nerves but ep 16 will leave a smile on your face..
no kiss b/w the leads at the end..

DH-SB had some close scenes till ep 6 and at the end of ep 10 but i guess they received the warning almost a month after the drama started and they changed the story from ep 11.. even though SB-DH had a lot of combination scenes from ep 11 they werent as intimate as the initial episodes.. logically SB should have been all over DH after his breakup but she kept more distance with a single DH than committed DH..

i read in another forum that BR is gonna reair from mon-fri in korea due to its success.. if its true i want to find the people who complained about the drama..

after the revelation how did the drama even had that many fans? the guy was a straight up psycho..

characters of BR are one of the most real out there in kdramas.. guys like DH are more common in the real world than chaebols.. most couple fight with each other like DH's parents but wont even think of leaving each other.. most of the relationship b/w people from different social class ends up breaking like DH-YJ and most rich parents( esp from the girl's side) wont approve of their children dating people from lower social status.. most girls who grew up without parents in a conservative society will be looked at with some kind of suspicion like SB and EB no matter how nice they are..

if anything kdramas are becoming better for the last couple of years.. they are getting away from the typical rich guy-poor girl..

except for not having a kiss or too much romantic moments SB-DH had a pretty healthy relationship.. they both support each other and brings the best version of each other.. also its rare to see couples that respect the personal space of each other in kdramas.. DH never forced SB to come back to him even though he knows she loved him..

the kiss in first episode was a huge part of the entire show and the entire scene was shot pretty well..
the drama got unnecessary hate.. south korea is the same country were a movie like 'my little bride' made huge sum of money and is considered to be a classic

the show would have gotten hate no matter what they do.. even well written episodes had people finding faults in it..

the kiss at the first episode was the biggest issue for the drama..

seems like 'no kiss' pissed off more people than the kiss..

so true.. people are way too sensitive and dont even have the brain to see a comedy as a comedy..
if american series 'friends' released today then it would have also received flakes from keyboard warriors.. due to the pandemic way too many people have more than enough time to waste on hating and finding faults in anything and everything..

the channel and the makers should have simply changed it into PG18+ instead of changing the story and cutting down the romance.. not saying they should show too much intimate scenes but 18+ tag would have shut down the people who has a problem with the drama and the makers could have made it the way they want.. movies/dramas with foul languages also get 18+ tag without matured content in them..

thanks to the criticism for that one kiss at the start.. the channel received warning from korean censor board for inappropriate content and the channel asked the makers to ton down the drama.. the result was limited romance b/w the leads..
it seems like there was a change in the story for the last few episodes...

i was surprised to see kwang dong yeon at the end.. never thought he will come back..
