except her character everything else is pretty good till ep 7.. i have only reached ep7..
like everyone here is saying, the madam lady is amazing..

the fight scenes are shown in a cartoon and webtoon way.. its supposed to be like that.. its kind of the same way in strong woman do bong soon as well.. its shot in a comic book manner...
the core characterization and the emotions of those characters shows were very realistic..

current cdramas are like how kdramas were a decade ago.. too rich to be true male lead who is the most intelligent person on earth and too dumb to be true female lead who is always submissive to the male lead.. its like the FL exist only to worship the ML and boost his ego.. not to mention the below average acting in almost all the dramas.. the only place were cdramas are superior to kdramas is the technical aspect.. cdramas have one of the best visual effects.. its even better than american series..
cdramas lack strong female leads which was the case for kdramas 4-5 yrs ago.. also the cartoon fighting scenes in BR are supposed to be like that unlike cdramas were people are flying around in serious fighting scenes esp in historic setup dramas..
even in fantasy genre kdramas have characters with real depth and emotions.. also the popular dramas for the last 3-4 years have more to do with character depth, acting and story than glitz and glamour.. cloy, hospital playlist, iotnbo etc are very well acted and well directed dramas with good characterization of the leads and none of these dramas are fantasy genre.. out of the top 10 highest rated cable dramas only goblin is fantasy genre..

watched the first 6 episodes and everything is good except for the FL.. i personally dont thing she is the FL just because she is paired with the ML.. song yoonah's name comes before yoona's in the intro and she has a more important role to play.. yoona's acting is very bad in this one and its very evident since everyone else's acting is really good.. the other 3 leads are really good..

it didnt really had any matured content but just to make the haters shutup they could have changed the matured rating..
the only scene in the entire drama with some kind of matured content was DS's intro scene.. except that every scene was exaggerated by knetz..

not the best work of the leads but they acted really well.. its hard to imagine jcw as DH because of his image but he nailed it..
i dropped both mdbtc and healer halfway through.. this is my first drama of KYJ that i completed and 2nd drama of jcw after suspicious partner.. i liked his character in healer along with the 2nd lead but overall story became really stretchy and boring after ep 14-15..

second have of the drama had some really good emotional scenes and character development.. SB-DH had some really good scenes as well.. i really feel the drama deserves a special episode with the director having enough freedom.. he is definitely a really good director.. the writing was average but his direction made some episdoes really stand out..

i guess since iotnbo aired on cable channel while BR aired on national channel is the difference.. at the beginning the FL from both the shows had to face backlash due to some weird people who dont know how to see a fictional show as fictional.. these are the same people who came into kdrama by watching boys over flowers and playful kiss.. eyeroll..
also iotnbo wasnt promoted as a family show. that might also be a reason.. majority of the people had problem with BR because of the source material of the drama.. they didnt like the fact that its an adaptation of an adult webtoon and watched every single scene with an eagle eye to pick fault in it..

knetzs should have concentrated more on the actual problem in their society rather than going after a fictional drama..

i only watched the initial episodes of both the season and didnt watch the end of both seasons.. the initial episodes of s1 till the revelation was good.. after the revelation i didnt feel like watching the rest..

from the initial episodes it looked like the makers wanted to show more DH-SB scenes but the backlash stopped it..

p.s- dean is my all time fav character and jensen ackles is love.. :)

the funny thing is its the same country in which a movie like 'my little bride' is considered to be a classic.. in it a 16 yr old is married off to a 23-24 yr old guy and stays with him in an apartment together..

if the director was given more freedom or if it was on cable tv this one would have been a better drama.. or the least they could have done is make the show 18+ so that the haters can no longer complaint about the content.. but now whats the use of wondering over spilled water..
the drama had a good director, leads and supporting cast but got wasted..

ya i know.. we all wanted that one kiss which got blocked by their hands.. the makers literally trolled us with that scene..

the makers dont have any chose but to change the story if the channel gets an official warning from the censor board..
BR airs on national tv and not cable tv.. so there are some restrictions..
the drama did decent ratings and didnt loose much audience but a small amount of people seems to have had hate camp against this drama.. they made it look like the drama is about an underaged girl going after an older man when in fact she was in highschool and 19 for like just 15 mins of the drama..

korean audience had no problem with DS and his getup and the show was never under the scanner for racism in korea.. their only problem with him was his intro scene with naked drawings and him making sound why drawing his webtoon. their problem was the kiss, SB's wardrobe, a scene involving a prostitute and a full frame of EB's sister dancing in her school uniform.. apparently EB dancing in school uniform was way too sexual for the korean audience.. i cannot understand then why do they have miniskirts as school uniform and are okay with teenage kpop girl groups dancing in the shortest shorts possible on national television..

and in korean backstreet rookie got tones of complaints just for a 2 sec peek on the lips.. lol

ya some japanese content are way too werid for the outer world but then japanese contents are made solely for their people and they dont care much about what international fans think.. they dont even market their entertainment industry like korea outside their country..

apparently a lot of people had a problem with SB kissing DH in the first episode wearing her school uniform, her wardrobe was too short for some short minded people etc etc.. the drama received around 6000 complaints against it and the channel received a warning.. you can find articles on that on google..

not the age but the show got warning from the censor board due to some complaints registered against the drama.. the story was changed at the end..

technically the drama had 2 kisses in the first 3 episodes itself..

SB in a previous episode clearly stated that she wanted to be a florist till she started working at the store and now she enjoys being at the store more than wanting to be a florist.. its the same for DH.. when he first started the store he wanted to go back to the head office but after sometimes they both got attached to the store and running the store became more important than their previous dreams.. DH was also not enjoying his job as a consultant even though that job gave him more money and less headache..
DH started the store because he lost his job and SB started working there to be with DH but they both ended up loving the store.. the conventional store is an important character in the drama .. everything eventually ends up being situated around it..
SB clearly wasnt enjoying staying away from DH, his family and the store and being a florist has become her second option a long time ago.. her noble idiocy didnt made much sense but it gave her space and time to think about what she actually wanted and staying away from DH for sometimes also made her feelings for DH much clearer..

i agree on jangmi arc.. that was a waste of screen time.. the only thing she did was make DH's mother vulnerable for some times.. jangmi's letter was something she wrote for DH's mother before eloping and she was 17-18 at that time.. she just wanted her best friend to know what happened to her and where she was going.. it wasnt meant to be an apology letter anyway.. DH's mother for all these years thought her best friend didnt inform her and left out of the blue which wasnt the case.. but anyway all those things didnt contribute much into the main story.. seeing her best friend leaving a financially better life than her made DH's mother feel sad.. aftermath was her forcing DH to accept YJ..
