I have to say even season 1 is a total cliche. It's basically a combination of old tropes from BL novels & mangas. Season 2 is also a common tropes from standard Chinese novels with the time gap. But if it's done well, I don't mind it. Just hope she could write a fresh story next time.

Yes. That's their choice and drama fans also have rights to say what we wanna say. And some are not happy with how they treated this show with the ending. The setting was already not conservative in the first place with this gender-blender plot and the rating in Korea was getting higher and higher with more seemingly ridiculous man to man romance & plots but they decided to tone it down in the end. Ossan's Love was even shown on the mainstream TV in Japan and more than 1.6 million people watched the film version, the highest grossing of Asian LGBT film to date. If you wanan justify the conservative mindset in Korea, please don't say all the Asian countries are the same.
I still remember the rating was 9.0 before the last ep and then it slumped after the infamous ending. If they hadn't gone that path, this would definitely be a classic BL drama to be recommended.
