I loved the episode too. It was tense and emotional. But, it was still the drunk sex trope. I'm still trying to…
It's not for everyone's taste for sure but I personally think it's okay. It's not like they're using it as some meaningless trope to gain more rating.

Sam's acting is beating the hell of many other actors in many dramas I've watched. And kudos to Lin Pei Yu for making a hella cliche bl time gap story feel like an emotionally packed drama. I'm quite surprised at the rooftop scene with ShiDe being there eavesdroping, which not only showed ShiDe's careful & smart traits but also showed the traits are in line with the person we knew in season 1. Last but not the least, the couch scene is so well-done & convincing. It just combines hate & love for that certain moment and we can feel it.

HIStory has been know for the works by Lin Pei Yu but not for this dated and lazy writing. It's gonna flop as I predicted months ago.

Title HIStory4: Close to You Spoiler
Was the older brother abused? I don't understand chinese, but the trailer made me worry.
No. He is just a big nice guy but his younger brother is a psychopath to a certain level. He will hurt anyone that is close to his brother and he always stalk him even when he is asleep. This intentionally caters to certain fuhoshies who love this dark character and I hate that.

The trailer contains lots of tropes that will definitely be bashed by fans here. If you know what they said in the trailer, it's a big no no to people who want consent, respect and seriousness in bl. It's like watching the writer fetishizing bl to a certain level. The only respectable character is the older brother of the side couple.

If that occurs. I, too, will be disappointed because, it would mean that now the Taiwanese BLs (who had been doing…
Taiwan already falls into that with Obsessed, MODC & HIStory4.....It's just not that common as Thai BL dramas do.

I would highly recommend you to give Hikaru no Go (c-drama) a try, and then see if you still have the same opinion....…
I have already watched it and it's been a nightmare. My childhood memory got ruined. WTF is that Fujiwara-no-Sai? One of the worst makeup I've seen in a drama. And the fact that they push China's patriotic ideology in that show is also a no no for me.

I might be the only one but I find it so cringey whenever he spouts some japanese sentence... like you did that…
Natural behavior of bilingual people.

And Season 1 is also full of cliche. Don't get your rant here.

Unlike international fans, HIStory2 still got the best reviews among Chinese & Taiwanese viewers. For me Right or Wrong is still the best.

Lol Some people are so impatient that they want all the things to be answered in the first ep. It's a typical time gap BL and you want them to be solved in just one ep? Haven't you watch any mangas or novels about time gap with misunderstanding? It's gonna torture you till the end 'cuz that's the fascination of this kind of story. It's not for everyone's taste for sure.

People would call it toxic and ridiculous if it's done like that. BL fans are now hard to please.

What i don't understand is why Shu Yi would think that was Shi De's baby it isn't even possible to be his baby.…
He did say he had to go to America in season 1 even before they were together and Shu Yi knew it after they were together. ShuYi could easily assume he knocked that woman up before they were together since they just were together just for months. And ShuYi knew ShiDe was a smart and cunning guy so anyhthing ShiDe did after he was in America could lead to ShuYi's wild imagination of him that maybe ShiDe had been cleverly hiding this woman from him and used his mother and stepfather as an excuse to go to America. And I don't think if ShiDe said had gone to America before would change anything here. ShuYi is a total impusive man and he is smart in acedemic things but I don't think he is smart in other things when he is emotionally invested in love.

Shu Yi may think ShiDe already had a baby in America before they dated and also think that's the reason why ShiDe flew to America.

Based on the reviews from the people who went to the premiere, it's a funny story. They watched the first three eps and they said it's funny and it's much better than what the trailer showed. But the problem is the main leads still feel like a good brother in the first three ep, not much romance going on. And the biggest problem is the little brother of the side couple…He looks like a total scary creep in the show and even the actor said he wanna hide at his house for his behavior in the show or people might wanna punch him, which means his love for the older brother is not healthy.
