Title HIStory4: Close to You Spoiler
The main couple actually has a very strong chemistry but definitely that possessive guy creeped me out. He seriously…
I kind of felt he was quite cute after I got used to his personality. The BL part and the fundashi part are quite funny.

The main couple is quite alright if people get used to Xiao's dramatic personality.

Title HIStory4: Close to You Spoiler
Just finished the first two eps…
It's alright if I see it as a typical Taiwanese comedy series. However, the little brother really creeped me out....Like he needs some mental therapy before he and his brother end up together. I'll see how their relationship goes but I doubt the writer will do anything to talk about and even solve his mental problem.

It feels so strange that there's zero buzz around a new HiStory instalment. I kind of understand why there isn't,…
The backlash from MODC & the setting all make people have little interest in it.

Why did it go from 8.6 to 7.9? I remember the first ep got good reviews…What happened?

The BL fans' stance on some things is to bitch about it. The greater the success, the more bitching.
Since this season seems more successful than the first, I guess these riduculous complaints are worth it. And currently Chinese & Taiwanese fans love this ep, it means this ep is a big success. I've got to say I can totally see the big difference culturally from people's take on this ep. I haven't seen anyone talking about the issues of the consent and drunk acting on weibo.

Getting drunk on set is extremely unprofessional and dangerous. The actor is essentially out of control and anything…
Nope. Getting some shots before the certain scene is just a common acting technique in Asian film and drama industry. Out of control for what? He was not hammered and there were staff watching and observe the whole situation. If you want examples, just google Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Johnny Depp for the western part and for the mandarin-speaking dramas part, you can google 賈靜雯(The female lead of the masterpiece "The World Between Us" and she got shots for certain heartbreaking scenes and her role got best acctress award in Taiwanese biggest drama award.) And tons of other actors and actresses from Taiwan & China.

Since the next scene didn't tell us when ShuYi went to ShiDe's office, the situation can be easily explained.…
Cliche? If they want it to be a total cliche, they will not have ShiDe eavesdropping. Instead, ShiDe will not know it and he will get fooled by ShuYi's behavior and the story will be way more draggy and soap opera. And if you wanna talk about cliche, from season 1 to this, they are all cliche. The difference is they make this cliche work and that's why it's pretty popular.

Well it didnt seem like shu yi still loved shi de. Regardless whether he loved him or not NO means no. soooo:)
I strongly disagree. ShuYi definitely still loves ShiDe and that's the point of this season of hate/love relationship.

How much are you paid by the production company? lol You say you get all of this. My reply is FIVE YEARS, NO COMMUNICATION…
Wants forgiveness? It's more like a burst of emotion after being drunk. And the show hasn't even ended yet but people like you want to have the answer of the past five years right away. Terrible? Haven't read any time gap bl? The misunderstanding will not be fully explained until the later part of the story and it's the trait of time gap bl for god's sake.

So Sam went to get breakfast for Shu Yi but somehow ended up on the roof of the building sitting on a bench looking…
Since the next scene didn't tell us when ShuYi went to ShiDe's office,
the situation can be easily explained. He could just ask another assistant to buy the food secretly and he himself went to the rooftop. Or he could also wait and went to the rooftop and then bought the food after they left. If people wanna be picky, it should have been explained well for sure.

Lol Some people are so pathetic for bitching about Sam's way to act in that scene. I've seen tons of actors, from Europe, America and to Asia, use drugs or wine to act in certain scenes. And this is a drunk ass scene and Sam wanted it to look more realistic so he drank wine to make it more plausible. What's wrong with that? I really don't get the current BL fans' stance on some things. You can bitch about the consent thing but this? Dear lord, have mercy on these people.

How was his directing job bad? (I'm genuinely asking, I'm curious to read other opinions)
Can't get your point about being cohesive. For me, it's totally fine with that scene that tried to tell the audience what their feelings were.

Don't think so. It's the rawness the director wanna show for that certain scene. I personally don't want it to be full body shots with many certain spots shots.
