This show is so overrated. The main leads didn’t have any chemistry. The acting skills were mediocre, and i’m being generous. Taeyi literally commited sexual assault towards Seoheon and everyone seems to be forgetting about it like it was nothing. The second couple was slightly more fun to watch, but Juha was a completely violent prick who didn’t deserve Doyoon at ALL. And they didn’t even try to make the fake ass kiss look a little bit more convincing 💀 What was so hard about kissing men? Don’t accept a BL role if you’re disgusted to kiss men!

I used to be the biggest defender of this show during the first 3 episodes but right after that, i suddenly understood where everyone who kept talking shit about this show was coming from. Gemini was acting like an emotionless robot. Honestly, saying that he was acting feels wrong because it felt like he was just delivering his lines. It’s crazy how they don’t have ANY chemistry, like AT ALL here when they had an overflowing chemistry in MSP and MLC, so it’s such a shame. And the fact that their relationship dynamic didn’t change in the slightest when they already started dating bothers me to the core. This show is a complete downgrade compared to their previous works. It almost feels like the production team just wanted to make money and didn’t even care about the quality of the show because Gemfot’s fans would eat it up regardless.

Idk how I managed to complete 16 episodes but I somehow did. It felt like a chore tho. I don’t think anyone who isn’t a big fan of Pondphuwin or Winnysatang would enjoy it, because to me personally it was boring as hell. I wouldn’t mind watching a lighthearted slice of life as long as it’s done right but the thing is... this show isn’t one of them. The mediocre acting skills and non-existent chemistry didn’t help either.

This show was so good but it went completely downhill during the second half. The fake angled kiss pissed me off so bad, what was so hard about ACTUALLY pressing their lips together? And the ending was so meh. Even the hug looked awkward as hell. If they’re not ready to kiss men, why would they be in a BL in the first place? 💀

As a newbie, i think Leng did an amazing job at acting. I can honestly name tons of GMMTV actors who have been in the industry for a very long time but are wayyyy worse than him 🤣

Ohmleng’s chemistry is absolutely top-tier and this show got me completely hooked ngl 🔥🔥🔥

It only had 100k tweets until the 8th episode and it was jimmysea’s second series. Kidnap already reached 240k tweets and was trending in almost 20 countries by the 3rd episode. So if we compare Kidnap with ALL OF THE EXAMPLES that i’ve given to you, saying that kidnap is doing well isn’t wrong at all 😛😛😛

I’m just gonna give you an example. Kidnap literally trended in ALMOST 20 COUNTRIES TODAY. on the 3rd episode with 240k tweets. thats actually a very big achievement for a brand new couple. And peaceful properly’s new episode had 321k tweets and was only trending in 5 countries. Kidnap reached a larger audience by trending in 14 more countries than Peaceful Property 🤣🤣🤣 Keep in mind that Taynew has been around for 6 years and Ohmleng was introduced 11 months ago

Also the reason why most of the shows that have reached 1M tweets managed to do so is bc of the DETERMINATION OF THE FANDOM, not bc of the fact that it reached a larger audience. I think you forgot the fact that Taynew and Offgun have been around for a VERY LONG TIME. They already have a very established fandom that have been rooting for them FOR YEARS. Cooking crush (Offgun’s series) that was aired in the beginning of the year only had 200k+ hashtags normally. Just look it up. Geminifourth only had 69k hashtags on the first episode of MSP, before it increased to 100k. Pondphuwin only had 200k+ hashtags during the airing of Never Let Me Go. Hidden Agenda only had 100k+ hashtags when it was airing, and joongdunk was already popular back then. Success and popularity doesn’t come instantly. And if you compare KIDNAP with the series i’ve mentioned before, it’s actually doing REALLY well. if u wanna be fair, compare it with dangerous romance that was literally struggling to reach 100k when Perth and Chimon were already popular back then. Compare it to Wandee Goodday that also only had 100k hashtags when it was airing. If u wanna compare Ohmleng with other couples, compare them with brand new couples that just had their very first series, not with Offgun, Taynew, Pondphuwin, etc. that have been around for literal YEARS

In case you didn’t know, Kidnap has entered TOP 7 shows on Netflix Thailand and Vietnam, and that’s a really big achievement considering the fact that there are TONS of popular shows from all over the world airing on Netflix.
