Is this reverse harem, or is there a decided couple?
1st male lead is endgame with the fl, 3rd ml loves the fl but it's very mild (borderline platonic)...he isn't pushy at all or jealous of the 1st ml, 2nd ml has 0 interest in the fl and likes someone else.
All of the male leads get along and like each other.
In my humble opinion i don't believe Ha Na's interaction with the crown prince was supposed to be interpreted…
It's a fantasy where the male lead has magical matchmaking powers. I can see if this was based on real people/events like The Red Sleeve, but none of these characters are real.
It was a creative choice by someone who lives in modern times. They cast a 12 year old and 29 year old in these roles...it's weird π€·π»ββοΈ

I was in denial that that's where they were going up until episode 11.
When Soon Deok was like there is a bit of an age gap I was like GIRL pls π₯΄ I don't think anything has been overly suggestive at this point, but because the main issue is that these two people are unmarried and now JungWoo has acknowledged them as a match...it's like I can't ignore it anymore which really sucks because the show is so solid otherwise.
It wouldn't have made sense for the crown prince to be more mature in this situation. He's a young boy in need…
You should really watch the episode 11 then...
A monarch is in a constant need of protection until he dies lol Once he's married off it's not like he will automatically be ignored by his enemies. There are SO many Korean period dramas where adult monarchs/nobles hide as the opposite sex or are sheltered from enemies. He 100% could have been aged up into his late teens so it wouldn't be weird.
For the love of god why would they not age up the crown prince to at least 19. It would even make sense re: the plot because the older he is the bigger the rush to marry him off and get an heir. The actor playing him is TWELVE so it's even MORE gross visually because he literally looks like a grade schooler. And the actress playing the 1st sister is almost 30 ππͺ
I really love how much time haena and seowon spend with each other and how much of it we get to see.
Also, the only thing that stresses me out about this show is the golden retriever uncle. I think it's cause I have two older Goldies and it just makes me sad.
If anyone has read the webtoon, is the uncle ever able to become human again please spoil me lol please remember to mark as a spoiler.
I'm sorry but idc whatever else this show does or doesn't do...the joke/misunderstanding about eating crabs/dogs in the first episode makes this whole series worth the watch lmaooooooo
I think the series will end without the eldest sister or the crown prince finding a match. Possibly at the very end we will see her meet her person~ organically. I think the king will chill after the people trying to kill the crown prince are caught. There will be a lesson in there about not forcing people to marry.
If they are actually thinking of pairing up a 14 year old and a 24 year old they are insane. Those optics are awful in a 2023 drama.
Bless the costume department for rowoon and yihyuns's color palette. The peach, lavender and spearmint outfits + the fl's blood red accessories is perfection.
Also kudos to whoever cast ye eun and hye joo as sisters. Best sibling casting I've ever seen.

[we have pretty similar taste so I think you'd like it!]
