I thought people were exaggerating about the soundtrack. I have never had music ruin a piece of media so completely. It's the same 2 royalty free dad-rock songs playing over almost every scene. Like they don't even throw in an instrumental to mix it up. If the music doesn't bother you, I suggest continuing, but if it bothers you from the get-go, it never gets less annoying unfortunately.
For the life of me I can't figure out why this is rated so low.Is it because no one almost gets murdered? Are…
My favorite character was the 2fl. It was so nice seeing her come to terms with the fact that she cared for the fl and ml separately and therefore accepted their relationship with grace. Her and Wi Ja Hoon's character's relationship was adorable...and the fact that he had a pet golden retriever when Seo Joon totally had big golden retriever energy 🥺
For the life of me I can't figure out why this is rated so low.
Is it because no one almost gets murdered? Are people clutching their pearls over the (healthy) sex lives of some of the characters? lol The 5 year age gap between the fl/ml??? ðŸ«
Every character is likable, but also uniquely flawed. The office dynamics are super solid. Like some of the best "world building" I've seen regarding office life. It actually felt like a real company.
1. I think past-life Nayeon was a princess who got together with past-life gardener to break past life HongJo and ShinYu up. Either ShinYu indirectly caused her death or he was legit under a spell and killed her with his own hands. As she's dying, she touches his face with her bloodied hand and curses him and his ancestors. She (or her ancestor) is the only one who can remove the curse.
2. I literally couldn't care less about the "cheating" He's tried to break up with Nayeon like three times at this point. She is actively trying to curse him rn lol There us no relationship left there.
3. I still think Nayeon and the Gardener cursed ShinYu when he ended up in the hospital. He faints and Nayeon is conveniently there to save him and be by his side. All of which earns brownie points from his parents.
4. The story is being told non-linearly. We don't have all the information rn, so things will definitely not make sense with 6 hours+ of storytelling left.
I feel like this series is definitely heavy on the misdirection and it's throwing people off. It's like a murder/mystery where nothing makes sense until the end, but while that often works in a book/movie which is consumed quickly, the fact that it's playing out over several weeks is making people impatient lol Also, they need to add a non-linear story telling tag.
I understand television is subjective, but the hate for the fl in the comments is so ott and bizarre. I've found that there is a group of male actors out there that have fans that hate literally any fl they are paired with. All three of the leads were evenly matched in performance. I would even watch this again just for the supporting cast. Such a solid group of actors across the board.
Anyways...I need a series of just the vet and yoo ri taking care of their orphaned dog and kid lol
People are really sleeping on this drama. Also, it's literally a fairytale, so don't look for accuracy lol The tiger and butterfly spirits really stole the show. Their character designs were beautiful.
A lot less shallow than I expected. Deals with the realities of bullying, suicide, child abuse, etc. Idk if my expectations were low because of the synopsis, but I enjoyed this. I wish the time jump had happened sooner though so we could see more of their lives as adults.
I understand why this drama is so polarizing, but I think it is definitely an accurate representation of life in your early 20s. You date and fall in love people who are shit for you lol You make mistakes and mess things up...sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. You're not meant to think this is a fairytale love story with an endgame romance.
The direction, soundtrack, acting were all great. I really hope these two directors work on other projects together in the future.
I find In-Hae to be a really endearing character. Won Ji-An plays her well. She's awkward, but it doesn't seem forced or cringy and you can literally see her fall in love in real time. I also like how In-Hae's growth is shown when she comforts the female boarder in episode 13.
At its heart, this show is a romantic-comedy and I can watch it with a smile on my face. I think maybe it's because I am a recent kdrama fan, but I really don't understand people saying it's too slow or boring lol I am used to things being resolved in like 5+ seasons and not just 12-16 episodes. But to each their own!

Rowoon's character gives big golden retriever energy after he stops being a weirdo lol Jin-Ah is great as always. I wish she took on more projects.
