who could be the one who gave chancellor gao that letter? from all the characters present until now, I don’t…
I think so too, he has the suspicious ability to say things exactly at the wrong time to get NH in trouble and seems more petty and selfish than he appeared at the beginning
Song Yimeng is so so pretty, the last drama of her that I watched was Bloody Romance ages ago and LYT was gorgeous there too and amazing at the role. She's killing this role too
Okay everyone our FL has finally chosen to stand by NH and now it will be them against the plot and CGH and that terrible uncle and whoever helped him escape.
As we more of script NH, we can see that he did go all out gaining script even staging assassinations so he could save her- and it makes a lot of sense why SYM took such a long time to trust him. That horrible uncle really went all out to gain enemies for NH even at the last moment.
SYM planning that trip to figure out how she feels about NH aaah I can't wait for her to tell him about the script and get married and perhaps throw CGH to jail after a beating.
The empress' assassination seems to have been done by uncle Gao, and framed on young NH for some reason just as he destroyed CGH's letter for help which lead to death of a lot of CGH's close people including his dad. He seems to want NH to absolutely no one left to trust or care about and then push him to throne, maybe to rule through him?
He seems to be powerful enough to still escape through that explosive feint and the emperor seems weary of him. I wish NH talked to and explained things to him mom instead of having her worry for her brother - they don't owe him anything most of NH's misery is from him and the rest from his nonsense dad.
Honestly I get really annoyed at CGH at many points but I can understand his blinding overconsuming hatred for NH. That uncle of NH's made sure to make it appear like he intentionally let thousands of soldiers die to get back at CGH. He has let this hatred for NH unfortunately overcome both his reason and his morals though, and has no qualms about dragging innocent ppl and also ppl he supposedly cares about into the mess as long as he can hurt NH.
The 18 prince seemed innocent at the beginning but has shown to be egotistical, dumb and selfish all in one if I was a king no matter how much I loved this son and hated the other I'd rather leave it to some nephew than a guy like him unless I wanted the whole country to crumble.
Just some random thoughts. I think the narrative often fails our FL. While Nan Heng is given an emotional arc…
This, also why do people forget in the original script, NH at the beginning saved SYM and appeared all good and nice to her so she believed him over the rumours and married him and THEN he betrayed her. If I went to such a script I wouldn't take the risk to believe NH either. It does seem like he is just more consistently trying to deceive her from her end. The drama focused on NH's suffering and shows Yimeng in a comedic light making her look heartless
Tbh there are beloved MLs who have gone around torturing, choking FLs destroying their self esteems and more and remained beloved so let's continue to be nice to our FL I don't think she yet matches any of those MLs level of terrible . Also plenty of script where FLs go through shit 100x worse than NH. He still has his mom. He was sent to the border but he had his army and power and wealth as a prince. The worst things he went through are terrible reputation and a terrible father who loves to humiliate him and break his spirit. It's very sad but could have been way worse
the writer has had enough of suffered FL in chinese dramas🤣 this time let's make the ML suffer🥲
GIRL SO TRUE! I mean very technically as a divorced woman with a dozen powerful enemies and no superpower so according to the era of the plot realistically a woman like her WOULD suffer at least 75% of what she went through. The obsessed pest of an ex husband and her meeting the domestic abuser however the scriptwriter should have had mercy on her and spared her. NH at least has power and caring allies my girlie Mudan really went through the wringer
She came to know his real identityShe thinks he cheated and played with her emotion just like script. AND Nan…
I do think all that, however the way the drama is presenting it is terrible. We keep being shown NH sad backstory everyone and everything against him and then we're shown SYM blaming him for things he didn't do and assuming the worst of him. It makes it that in the flow of watching it's difficult to not feel really bad for the ml and not find her cruelly uncaring. It's not the logic behind her actions it's how her actions are presented to the audience
This isn't it, the comedy isn't even there at this point. Why does NH like SYM? He doesn't have that much of a reason to except her protecting him when he was LSL?? At least in the previews it looks like things are finally looking up for him but there's also the spoiler someone posted below which idk when it happens
I just want them to team up and try to fight the plot is it that hard?? Also there's other ways to present the fl as still not trusting ml if they wanted to without making her say exaggerated rumors about him to others and appear to be so coldly uncaring of him when she's so caring of other people
Okay imagine you are an utterly unambitious homebody who doesn't take life seriously. Now you find yourself in a story you skimmed through which had an extremely terrible red flag ( heck even black flag ) ml - stabs fl, uses fl for power, distrusts her and thinks she's cheating on him, cheats on fl with sister, makes sister pregnant, doesn't save her when given a choice, and upto the point she read, also was refining her as some kind of zombie? I wouldn't want anything to do with him or care if he was a different person or if he was being wronged by the whole world I'd stay very far away. She also died trying to change the script like two dozen times, which is two dozen times more than NH by the way. So obv she doesn't believe script can be changed.
Also she only started liking LSL bc he didn't appear in the script so to her it felt like he was someone the script couldn't control and was a genuine person who could act on his own agenda without being controlled by the script. She herself cannot escape scripts control no matter what, why would she think NH will escape it? No matter how different his personality is in her pov the script will force him like it forced him to save her.
And, while it's true he didn't do 90% of the things said by the rumors he did do these things - try to make her fall for him to use her family's power and as LSL, get the weapon formula ( later he fell for her but that's later), and try to kill her and threaten her when that didn't work. Soooo I think the drama could improve it's storytelling and not be this draggy, but at this point SYM isn't that unreasonable to still not trust or like him.
Actually when this drama first announced, the FL was described as a girl who's lethargic and jst wanted to lay…
THIS! She didn't bat an eye when she died a dozen times at the beginning of coming into this world. To her, nothing is still that serious or important in this script world. And because she herself died so many times at the beginning and still came back, she doesn't take death in this script world very seriously. Her not believing in Nan Heng has been dragged out a bit too much by the drama but honestly it isn't even her being unsympathetic or cruel it's bc she doesn't think life and death are much of a big deal in this world. Many things happening has only reinforced her belief - and when she finds out her and her little sis have both fallen for LSL and LSL saved her and that he's NH it will further reinforce her belief in the script. She does know the personalities of the characters are different from the original script but plot points happen one way or the other anyways, even if it defies logic like NH being forced to save her at the beginning. I still understand her behavior of trying to sabotage NH in any way in an attempt to divert the plot however the drama needs to either show her feelings a bit more clearly as ppl for some reason have already forgotten her personality, or speed up this part a bit. It doesn't help that the drama went all out fleshing out NH's tragic backstory.
as we see she will still be suffering in S2. I thought we would have an empowered peony in S2, kicking butt and…
Really?! While all the suffering she went through was contextually correct and made sense due to the era and her circumstances and I loved how she gritted her teeth and overcome it without plot luck and external help I don't want to see her suffer anymore, it just feels too realistic and uncomfortable. Realistically, she's still just a concubine and has barely any power and just a little wealth so ppl can still target her but I just want things to magically go her way for once
Cool trailer of when they realize they don’t want to be manipulated script characters; probably 2nd half: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CmziFvf7d/?mibextid=wwXIfr
