Title Cheat On Me, if You Can Spoiler
About the ending...
I think she stabs him for sure, however, I don't think it was fatal, it looks like she aimed for the stomach? Beyond that... I still have no idea what to think.
First time I watched this, I thought she 100% killed him.
But now... is creating a perfect crime a hassle she wants to deal with? But I don't think she'll be happy with divorcing...
Maybe he dies after the non-fatal stab due to cardiac arrest from shock?
The NIS wouldn't cover her up anymore as her father was arrested right?
Too much to think about!!! I actually enjoy the ambiguity though, it keeps the drama alive to me, as I'm made to question again and again what happened.

Also, I honestly don't understand people saying there was no plot/story? THERE WAS SO MUCH GOING ON.
and the way it all interlinked from start to end, with the necklace.
the symbolism with things like the peacock.
the pain and lives of each character, from the maids to all the women to their husbands.
the elements of playful comedy sprinkled in here and there.
the beautiful lesbian relationship and the beautifully painful way in which it was portrayed, giving justice to what love is.
the meaning behind the word MINE as well is fascinating.
lastly, watching the relationships between the three women blossom- it was all so inspiring and artful.
I even (to my surprise) empathised slightly with the wife of the chairman in the end.
She was also very funny once I warmed up to her (so was the head maid, loved her LMAO)

I don't want to bash anyone for not being able to see its beauty- I only wish for you to give it a try in a few months or years time once you have aged and changed with time, and see if you can now understand the beauty that is this show.

The end of the last episode was the first time I had ever cried out of admiration. I had no idea anyone could cry in admiration!
Let me make this short- I truly believe that there is a strong correlation between how much you love seeing ACTUALLY strong, inspiring women and how much you'll enjoy this drama.
The amount of sisterhood in this show made me cry several times.
If you've ever felt frustrated at two women's rivalries in a show because you thought they'd be much more powerful if they stood together instead of fighting over materialistic and abundant things like money and men, this is a must-watch!!!

if you're contemplating to continue this show or not but you haven't completed episode 6, pls give it the chance, at least til the end of episode 6!!
the story is somewhat complicated, so needs time to become more interesting.
i previously left a comment wondering if i should continue (after ep 2) as it hadn't then lived up to my expectations, but now that I've completed it, i can say it did live up to expectations.
my favourite thing was probably the female characters, the way they were written and portrayed.
if you like strong female characters with depth of character, I recommend this!
idk why, but i loved kang sol B... as well as kang sol A and (after some frustration) ye seol, and not to forget professor kim!!
the male characters aren't annoying (not unintentionally anyway)- in fact professor yang might just be my favourite male kdrama character, he's left a very good and very deep impression on me.
lastly, if you don't think you'll enjoy this as law isn't your fortee nor something that excites you, again, give it til the end of episode 6! while i struggled with understanding some things (especially at the start) i would hate to think anyone turn down this show solely based on that!

Is this like Vincenzo where it gets good only after the 3rd episode? Or have I had too high expectations? I don't know if I should continue or not?

On Strangers from Hell Jun 13, 2021
I wish this drama was more well known as its alternative title, 'Hell is Other People'.
Once I learnt a few episodes in that this was another title for this show, all of the very purposeful writers choices made so much sense (notice how all of the characters in the show are purposefully frustrating in one way or another, if not to you then to the main character, thus Hell is Other People).
Also, 'hell is other people' is a Satre quote, a famous french existential philosopher, which I think is vital information in trying to understand the themes and plot choices that take place throughout.
This is confirmed by the book shown, The Metamorphosis, which imo links very well to absurdism, a branch of existential philosophy.
Overall, I love how the writer (ig the webtoon writer!) incorporated philosophical themes in, you can tell the purpose of this story was to make us rethink many questions we take for granted such as 'what is good and bad?' directly quoted from the show!
If you are interested in philosophy, I highly recommend watching this, although some prior knowledge is helpful if you want to get to the bottom of what the writer is trying to tell us.
Also, I'm not sure if I should put a spoiler tag on this- pls notify me if I should!

the scenarios are great for raising awareness, but the solutions to each scenario have a 'knight in shining armour' fairy-tale like feeling, where a perfect feminist male character comes along to save the day.
It brings great awareness for scenarios women face due to gender discrimination, but teaching such an unreliable method of escaping- such as depending on men to help you or make you feel less insecure- is actually more harmful to a female audience than helpful.
I guess its good for male viewers who can see these knight's in shining armours and learn from them?
Overall really disappointed but hey I was expecting too much I guess.

Despite the multiple mentions of radical feminism in this drama, there was nothing radical about the mainstream feminism shown, which I thought was ironic- the very male characters that condemned radical feminism knew not one thing about it.

I do like the message of not being complacent when faced with injustice, it was nice watching straightforward action taken whilst acknowledging it's not easy to do.

However, while the scenarios are realistic, the results after action is taken are very idealistic.

is 7.9 a justified rating for this show? ik it hasn't finished yet which will affect the ratings, just want to hear what someone who is watching it currently thinks its potential rating could be?

I was planning on watching something light and slice of life after finishing this (I watched mouse before this, so it feels like light years since I watched something not so heavy) but I feel so strange- like when you're hungry but don't want to eat, but not in a negative way at all.
Like what do I do now???? Apart from clearly giving Hotel Del Luna another chance as Yeo Jin Goo's acting in this was beyond words???? And apart from sobbing my eyes out bcos of the masterpiece of art this was???

i don't know why i cried during the last scene of the last episode but I do and I did. THAT is what you call beyond extraordinary in ALL categories but especially in the ones most important, such as the cinematography and use of sound as well as insane acting which contributed to the already strong story-telling abilities of the writer!!!!
I was in the middle of watching this when this drama won the drama of the year award, and even knowing it won, only once it ended did I truly understand why- despite it being amazing from the start!
This is one of those top Kdramas that qualifies as not only a beautiful, gripping, and fun drama, but also one that is SO impressionable, it feels like a carefully curated piece of art. (bcos it is exactly that- the level of respect I have for everyone involved in making this omg! And knowing the director and screenwriter are both women!!!! I think I'm going to start assuming any drama with female director and screenwriter is incredible bcos I swear this is a pattern I've seen before????)
Anyways, anyone reading this hesitating to continue for whatever insane reason, it definitely deserves a second chance. Please give it that!
