Avenuex (a Chinese youtuber) was asked about these costume dramas being reviewed again and she said:
1. She is not sure whether it is true since it is all speculation from the audience. (it is just rumours at the moment). There has been no official announcement
2. If it is true, then it is a lot of work from the reviewers cause they have to review all dramas currently submitted for review + all costume dramas which have already passed review but not released. According to her, it is a lot of work to review 40-80 eps worth of drama again so they might just review a couple of episodes.

My personal opinion: If it is true then all the platforms should make some sort of announcement that all costume dramas have been delayed especially Youku since they announced that IS was going to release sometime in July. If they make no announcement, they are leading the audience/ investors on. Tencent made some sort of soft announcement regarding The Longest Promise being released sometime this summer so they should give an update as well along with other platforms for their costume dramas

Same. I saw the app on the app store like a month back. I downloaded it back then and now nothing much has changed in terms of layout. You can watch those shows on Youtube so what is the big deal?

It is set to release sometime in Q1 2023. They finished filming around March this year and it is in post production stage.

I don't think it will get delayed. LLTG faced the same issue of have Japanese inspired costumes and setting and they were able to release on time. From what has been released, IS does not seem to be Japanese inspired.

No. Having a membership can get you early access to episodes. Otherwise you will be able to watch 1 episode per day so don't worry that you won't get to watch

I don't think they are not going to release it cause they are still releasing small promotional material. They might release it after all of the big xianxia dramas like Longest Promise and IS have finished their run cause this does not seem to be a high budget in comparison to them. Also, devil and fairy might have a bigger chance in the competition than this drama. Once all of the big ones are done, then they might release it

80 eps is a lot but if the script is tight and there is very little dragging then we won't feel it (I have seen some very long shows where you don't feel the length) but if they keep on dragging it like some shows😒 then it is better to make it 60 eps. Let's wait for the official annoucement.

Thanks. I think they over reacted a bit too. She seemed to have resolved the issue on time. Hopefully, it will release soon. There seems to be a dry period with xanxia recently.

From my understanding, Jiang Tian did not like the script so she rejected it. That is why there was a lot of uproar from Yang Zi fans cause Hanrui somewhat compelled her to do the role cause of her contract with them. Maybe someone knows more and give more context

I keep on hearing the same thing as well that they will release it after Story of Xing Fu. Let's wait and see
