Until and unless someone involved in this drama does something illegal (Hopefully not🤞), this will definitely air either by the end of this year or beginning of next.
it's Yan Dan's own choice too. Remember YingYuan had a way for her to keep her memories by just breaking the ice?…
You are right. He is respecting her wish but he is going a little overboard by always thinking that he has to keep her in some sort of cocoon. She wants to explore the world and not be stuck in the forest. I think his intentions are in the right place but the execution somewhat bothers me. It is also irks me a bit that he tries to add a romantic lens to their relationship when she seems to have no romantic feelings for him at all. In the Heavenly realm, she viewed him as a son and in the mortal world, she views him as a dear friend. It's like he is trying to force a romantic relationship with her or try to come off as a couple when she does not feel the same way.
Also, it is harming her indirectly cause that lamp lady wants to harm her all over again and let's not forget her falling in love with YY/TZ all over again as well which will lead to more heartbreak for her.
Damn, I just realized that part 1 is going to be end next Wednesday. It went by so fast😩. Like I though 38 eps was a lot but now it doesn't seem like enough. Btw, any news on part 2? # of eps and whether it will follow the same airing schedule as part 1?
Am I the only one who feels that it is not right for Yumo to hide the truth of YD's past from her? Like what gives him the right to decide for her what is the best for her? I get it that what happened to her in the Heavenly Realm was horrible but she has a right to know so she can choose her own future. Right now, she is just living in a false reality created Yumo. TZ started to widen her horizons and her understanding of the world and then Yumo comes in again wanting to take her back to the forest so that she can continue living in a false reality. He thinks her being ignorantly happy is the best for her but she is just living in a golden cage created by him. TZ was right that it is neither his or Yumo's decision regarding what YD wants to do for her future and it should ultimately be her choice (when they were arguing over her). He keeps on making decisions for her thinking it is right but he is hurting her more in the long term. Maybe that is why I can't seem to warm up to his character too much cause he is basically playing god in YD's life. At least YY/TZ did try to make her stronger and widen her understanding of things so she can grow whereas Yumo just wants her to remain as she is with no chance of growth.
Now, fans joked that if there wasn't Qing JunJie, those two might have had something. Well not joke, but ppl probably…
Really? Well, YZ and Qing JunJie did break up but it would be really weird for CY and YZ to have something now considering three of them worked together in a drama and all three seemed to get along pretty well. I just think CY and YZ are very good / close friends now though.
I did end up chuckling a bit when YD was like to TZ how she is older and wiser than him. I was like YY is thousands of years older than you.😆 He probably would have rolled his eyes at her claim.
Around 2600 years old I think. I am not sure though. I believe he was around 1200 years old when YD was born. 500 more years till they meet again and 900 years asleep. I am just guessing here🤷🏻♀️. He could be 10000 years old for all we know.
I’m watching from clips (cannot do angst in real time) and I was pleased with how YD’s character was very…
I have realized that TZ is basically YY but with a lot less responsibilities/ expectations. If the same amount of responsibilities/expectations were placed on TZ, he would slowly turn into YY
I'm currently on Ep 13 but I have a ques, at the scene where Ying Yuan teaches Zhi Xi on how to play the string…
He already knows that ZX is not his saviour but this is 100% confirmation for him. Also, it lets him know how much she is willing to lie to his face. I think it was also his way of knowing whether the sisters were in the scheme together or it was just her cause YD would have shared this info with ZX if they were in it together. He never taught YD anything cause he thought he was dying and was also depressed about his friends/comrades dying in the war
Did anyone feel that there was a scene cut between when YD is talking to that flower spirit leader and when TZ starts chasing her? Also, what is the circular thing TZ holding in his hand when he starts chasing YD for the first time? It comes out of nowhere and disappears out of nowhere with no explanation given(or maybe I missed it)
I think he did it to protect YY. Someone is trying to kill YY/TZ so by saying that he is dead, that person will stop trying to kill TZ thus buying him time
I hate it when actors get dubbed. Some actors choose to be dubbed cause they know their diction, dialogue delivery…
I think it has more to do with money than love of the craft. They think a drama will become popular if it features good looking or well known faces and if these actors are not able deliver good lines, then they can just be dubbed. I do believe Chinese actors have gained this mentality too that they don't need to work on their line deliveries cause they know they are just going to be dubbed. This has just led to a cycle of laziness. I do believe it is slowly starting to backfire cause audiences are not stupid + with the new law on dubbing. Actors and producers do need to wake up and start working more towards the craft (which means no dubbing unless absolutely necessary). Hopefully, if the Tencent thing is true then it will change the game for dubbing.
Maybe CY got some kind of accent, but at least for me I like way more the sound of his voice, it sounds so soothing…
I don't think CY has that strong of an accent that he needed to be dubbed. He sounded so good in the initial trailers that I could not believe that they dubbed him over. Lin Geng Xin (from Master of my own) has a somewhat strong accent. Even as a non-speaker, I could pick up on it. I did not have that same experience with CY.
I hate it when actors get dubbed. Some actors choose to be dubbed cause they know their diction, dialogue delivery…
Tell me about it. Even I am confused about how someone can call themselves a good actor if they cant deliver their lines with conviction. Like, if we put them in a theater or out of China, they would all be considered horrible actors cause they cant deliver lines. Only in China, they are called excellent actors. (non-mainlanders excluded)
I am also tired of hearing the same set of voices delivering lines in the same manner from different faces (actors). The dramas filmed after the rule should either start airing at the end of this year or beginning of next. Let us see what happens cause it is China, I feel like they will find some loophole.
Nah CY's real voice isn't showing up...Youku you deceitful wrench! to the heavenly gallows you shall go!
I hate it when actors get dubbed. Some actors choose to be dubbed cause they know their diction, dialogue delivery or pronunciation sucks so instead of working on it, they choose to be dubbed (Easy money I guess). Other actors work hard on everything, even say their lines with pure perfection but get dubbed anyway cause the producer, director or the studio choose to have them dubbed (for whatever reason) . They don't have enough power/influence in the industry to change anything so they have accept it.
Hopefully, with the new dubbing rule we get to hear the actor's real voices in the future. I believe (correct if I am wrong) that Tencent is already moving away from dubbing where they have stated that all their future dramas (starting from dream of splendor) will have the actor's real voices. If it is true, I pray Youku goes in the same direction. I would like to hear an actor's real voice (even if there is a slight accent) than a dubbed one.
Not from what I have heard. It is supposed to be a bromance not BL cause BL dramas are softly banned in China right now. Also, I think even the book it is based on is not BL but just a bromance with Wuxia elements
Can someone please explain to me how the rating system in MDL works? like I see a lot of around 9 ratings for the individual episodes but the overall rating is 8.2. How does that happen? Shouldn't it be around 9 as well?
Also, it is harming her indirectly cause that lamp lady wants to harm her all over again and let's not forget her falling in love with YY/TZ all over again as well which will lead to more heartbreak for her.
