Given the sudden turn in events, I get the feeling that this might have a sad/bittersweet ending. The only way I can see it have a happy ending is they do something like last 10 mins where the characters get reincarnated otherwise...nope.
Are we sure the heavenly emperor is the real one? How is it possible for him to have such a kind empress and children…
If it is true, then the plot twist would be the similar to another Xianxia drama. I hope that's not the case and he is just an awful person cause he is just jealous or wants to hold on to his position
it’s kind of a signature in the collaborations between this director and Sa Ding Ding who is the musical director.…
Don't get me a wrong. It is a really nice song and high points are really good. It is just when they are constantly playing it, it become too much for me.
Am I the only one getting slightly annoyed at the main OST playing in almost every episode and even in scenes which don't require it? Other than that, everything else is great
I have a question and I not sure whether it has been answered. If it is known from the very beginning that Empyrean is going to die / sacrifice himself then why did the Heavenly realm get him married? Why would they force some girl to live as his widow for eternity? Would it not have been better to have him live his life like some sort of monk until his time to sacrifice himself came?
Sometimes some companies cast two very popular actors as the main leads and some unknowns as the second leads.…
Even I don't think it is going to be case for this story cause I think when the story is going to shift to the mortal realm, they are going to focus more on the main couple. I was just pointing out that in some dramas they do that
Is it just me or anyone else that feel like the 2nd couple got more screentime than 1st couple in the last 4-5…
Sometimes some companies cast two very popular actors as the main leads and some unknowns as the second leads. They continuously market the popular actors in order to get people to watch the drama but when the drama actually airs, it is the second leads who have a more compelling story and more screen time. The main goal is to use the popular actors to market the unknown ones. A very famous example of this is "Romance of the Little Forest" and "The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion ". I am not sure about this one or whether the leads will get more screen time later on.
To my surprise, I am thoroughly enjoying this drama. The comedy in both of the realms is pure gold. Since, this is a Xianxia, the tragedy and the tears are probably going to come later. The romance between the second leads is moving pretty fast in comparison to the first leads. I wonder when the turning point in their relationship will come
Been waiting for almost a year when they released the first trailer. Why is the longest promise turning into the longest wait? Anyone know whether this got a license yet or no?
I have been hearing the same rumors too that both are going to air like a week apart from each other. BFTB on…
My bad. The order of wraps ups in my head are: 1. Legend of Anle 2. BFTB 3. TSY 4. TTEOTM It has been around 1 year since the wrap ups so they all got jumbled up in my mind. Also, the order in which they got their airing license also confuses things.
This 🍉 says BFTB AND TSL going to broadcast same month ....is it's possiblehttps://twitter.com/Allcbizmelons/status/1622199019715063815?t=SZN4qddSk4eB1vUsEMqemw&s=19
I have been hearing the same rumors too that both are going to air like a week apart from each other. BFTB on the 14th and TSL on the 19th (or around that time). I think both dramas are old in terms of when they finished production and they got their airing license pretty late after everything wrapped up so I am guessing Youku just wants them out of the pipeline so they can air more recent dramas like TTEOTM sooner. Hopefully (fingers crossed).
The best explanation I can come up with is that there is certain scenes in the first episode that were chopped off leading it to feeling rushed and not logical. There is a scene where the Liu Shao mentions that her maid knows LL works by the river during the festival. How does the maid know? My guess is that there were a couple of conversations between LL, his master and LS's father or family where they might have mentioned what they do (work by the river), where they live (that is how LS knew where to go) and LL's intention to join Duke's place (this might be why LS asked LL to go with her since he was going to go anyway and she thought he was her immortal). In the later episodes, we find out that it was always LL and his master's intention for him to go the Duke's place so LS asking him to go would not changed the eventual outcome. The first episode is a little bit rushed but eventually the plot does settle down and there are explanations given for character's actions though not all actions/decisions are explained.
As for why they are making LS is participate in the competition instead of giving her protection? It is never explained so I guess it is one thing you have to ignore or consider it a plot hole.
I feel bad for the 3rd void prince though. I hope the void Empress suffers and he eventually gets back everything he lost.
