Honestly, at this point, Pian Rian and Qing Yu have the healthiest relationship. No mistrust, no lies, and no hidden agendas. Just two people who genuinely love and trust one another. I don't know whether they will get a happy ending but other couples in the show need to learn from them.

TTJ and Susu are already in love with each other but wont admit it to themselves for their own reasons. TTJ has already faced betrayal so many times that he is afraid to trust someone so openly again. Susu is too innocent, has seen him kill her family and is on a mission to stop him. If she admits to herself that she loves him then it will just become harder for her to complete her mission. By the time they both realize it, it will be too late

Same. I have enjoyed some pretty low budget dramas and pretty high ones as well (which had flaws). The flaws can be ignored as long as the acting, plot, and pacing is good.

A nicer way to put it is that TTJ is a human who will eventually become the devil god due to the bone. In my opinion, the devil god was killed by the other gods. He was reborn as a human with the evil bone and once it completely takes him over or he dies, he will become the devil god again.

TTJ is living as Ming Ye to get some sort of history lesson from him. The devil god has always been TTJ (same face).

3-4? Thats giving a lot of space / time to characters who will probably never make a reappearance. I will hold on. I have held onto worse.

Is it bad that I dont care for Ming Ye and his tragic love story? I want to go back to TTJ and his twisted mind.

That's why I like TTJ. He is no saint and he does not pretend to be one either. He never justifies his actions. He is who he is. The others around him blame him for their misery while he never forced them into anything. It's not like he told those maids to take care of him or stay with him. They just need a scapegoat and he is the easiest target cause he has no one to protect him.

For someone TTJ who has faced nothing but cruelty, betrayal and hatred, her small pieces of kindness can seem like a full ray of sunshine in the full darkness. He probably doesnt want to lose it

That nursemaid / high priestess is soooo wrong. Like just cause they raised him and kept him alive, he should just accept their betrayal and die peacefully. So, he is wrong for protecting himself but they are not wrong for betraying him. His betrayal is wrong but theirs is not. Any sane person would act out and have trust issues if the people they trust the most betrays them. No wonder TTJ turned evil

Can some please explain the significance of TTJ's father burning the name list? Why was that painful for him? I just didn't get it.

Preview of ep 7 had me screaming too. Just when you think he is misunderstood or start feeling sorry for him, he goes and pulls out those cards. It's understandable why he did it but still... I guess they really want to show that he is true schemer.

Can someone please tell me what it says at the end of the airing schedule near ep 40? I don't mind spoilers.

Concubine's daughter vs legal wife's daughter

Just caught up with the six episodes. This looks so visually amazing and the chemistry between main pair is great. I like how they are focusing on the plot and the motivations of characters (especially TTJ). LYX looks amazing as the villain and he seems to be living this character with the small gestures he makes and the body language. I am so fence about his TTJ though. One minute I am feeling sorry for him and then he does / says / thinks something entirely wrong which makes me wish that he suffers. This was the gist of his character all along. Someone who doesn't understand morally right behaviour cause no one treated him in a morally right way. As for Susu, I kind of found it funny how she swears to kill him but is doing everything in power to keep him alive. I can't wait to see both of them fall madly in love.

Side Note: I don't feel anything for the 2nd CP at all. I just can't feel their chemistry or intense love for one another. They are too goody - goody for a drama of this kind. Maybe I will feel something later. The 3rd CP is intriguing cause he is so uptight, by the rules and tries to do the right thing and she seems mischievous and does what she pleases.
