I think you're not seeing it from her point of view. imagine your're on the brink of death and you see your mother dying in fron of you and all the evidence leads to one person. Yes, it's very extreme to think that he could such a thing but given the state she was how can she think that there are people out there who want to harm her. And it's not like YCX is some saint, he hurt her many times in the past.

Like yes, he let her go but before he left he also told her what if I insist and given his past history it's very easy to believe that he tried to stop them. Also she doesn't know that there many enemies out there who are trying to harm him by using her. Like we ,the audience, have all the facts but the character doesn't.
