Its so good to see a show really go past your expectations. I started watching it for NGM, and honestly, first few episodes was a bit lackluster. It looked like a generic police/crime drama thing, with a bit of that korean spice added.
But the last 4 episodes or so, things just kept ramping up. I think it was a bit predictable but the execution of it was amazing. Really looking forward to this now.
This show was such a letdown. It started off pretty good and I was interested in the spy stuff. But then when they revealed the mystery behind Derek's organization, man that was super disappointing. It made me look back and feel silly for ever having any expectations.
I've noticed this trend with the Korean shows that it always has a good start, with potential but the reveal and stuff is always super underwhelming.
This must be a problem of the system, since they probably encourage starting off with high ratings, so the writers always promise what they can't deliver. So they can't really start slow and then surpass expectations.
I mean I never thought the manga is amusing, enjoyable or hillarious in any way. Fairly speaking I got bored instead…
The manga is more enjoyable if you pay attention to the relationships between characters, for which there is pretty decent development. The humour is generally the tone.
Really feels like they switched writers at the end.
The moment to moment chemistry was gone and was replaced by generic interactions.
It became unfunny, cheesy and cringy.
It's like the executives fired the original writers and hired some random writers to finish the drama off generically since that would be the safe bet.
It leaned in so hard into the gag where they keep showing up naked in the middle of campus, and honestly it was pretty unfunny. It was pretty unfunny in the manga too, and the manga quickly moved on to the friendship between the diving club members. The movie writers must have found that tiny part really funny since they focused a third of the movie on that one gag and it kinda ruined the movie for me. The manga is funny, but has heart but this movie has no heart.
this one is a mess The writers chose to focus on the story and the character development/relationships is secondary but the story is really mediocre but acts like its hot shit. Its a bad but ambitious idea so props to the writer but also they failed to execute it.
i honestly don't understand all the hatred for do san. Yeah, so he isn't the perfect male lead who is cool, has…
I would say that the dudes parents are the worst. They have the nerve to shit on him for dropping out of college as a literal child. Even grown ass people have trouble in college. They act like the since their kid is smart, he 'owes' them for his brains. Like horrible ass entitled people honestly.
Its like they were too lacking emotionally to handle such a smart kid.
I know right? So unrealistic for abandoned kids to grow up with emotional and attachment issues.
Of course it is understandable that there are issues, but his issues and most of him is used like a tool not a character that interacts with other characters like human beings His purpose in every scene is super clear like a tool, and that makes it less fun to watch him because he is a tool and the writers do nothing to hide that he is a tool
It occurred to me that the main person I blame the most for the mess in Dalmi's life is her grandma. I may be…
she is just a plot device usually you are supposed to hide them in layers of character, but she has so little screen time
its a bad job by the writers
later on she will be milked for drama when she will actually turn blind, and that drama will probably be used to resolve some other conflict just a badly written plot device
This is really great. Like really great writing, and characterization especially for Nam Do San. The dude was somewhat of an enigma, but the last episode really put things in their place.
I do have one complaint. That Han Ji Pyung is such a pissy little bitch. I feel bad for the actor that he has to portray such a one dimensional plot device. Dude is so dishonest with himself, and that is his core character trait. Dude was like that 20 years ago and still is the same in that regard, just he has more money now. His entire job in the show is to make googly eyes at Seo Dal Mi, and then act jealous. It sucks that his relationship with the female lead has been completely dependent on his 'relationship' with the male lead. Also I predict that his character arc will just lead him to be more open with himself, and that will be it, for all the nonsense the writers are going to put us through with his character.
I really liked the chemistry between the male and female leads. I don't get why the romance tag is not there, since while it wasn't the overt fluffy displays that normally count, here the actions clearly displayed a great amount of care about each others well being, far more than 'just' friends.
I didn't like Minhee and the other male lead but they were all well written.
Its okay to not like a drama, But the reasons you make here makes no sense! Also why so much hate ?? Relax.. You…
you never watched something because you wanted to find out what was going on even though you didn't like the way the show was done?
also if you are going to say something like "what you said doesn't hold ground', then it is good manners to elaborate on why
you've literally said that what i said makes no sense twice, but have failed to elaborate at all, so i am going to assume you are a troll and ignore you from now on

That scene with the comparison of yakuza with or without a manual juicer was hilarious
thats just juvenile gatekeeping

The bodyguard dude was so badass.
