I'm going to comment as I watch the episodes.. but the PACE of the drama picked up and i'm like... why couldn't you do this throughout the ENTIRE drama, instead of the last 10 episodes....

Thanks for sharing! It's hard to find affinity through my love for dramas so hence why I asked. I'm really not watching too many complicated ones. But I've been on a Jin Han fix, so currently watching Jun Jiu Ling and finished Twisted Fate of Love. Finished Unforgettable Love, but mainly due to the child actor in there. He is the bee's knees, such an adorable character. Most of the dramas I watch is mainly for making me happy so I do tend to stick romance or comedy.

I briefly saw the ep1 for The Justice. I may check it out, I like Steven Zhang.

I watched this entire drama (which is saying a lot bc I'm an expert skimmer) but I skipped so much in forever and ever.

Not a huge fan of Ren Jia Lun but I liked Bai Lu since her military drama.

Awww. I think so too but you can never tell. He plays such a restrained character and he has to do that with every look he gives her.

DISCUSSION POINT: I know that allen ren mentioned that he said his character "fell in love" with shiyi during when she visited the military camp at new year's. I would LOVE to hear people's opinions on where you think each of them fell in love for each other? (sorry for being so late to the game! but i'm glad i didn't have to play the waiting game for both dramas)

we can be friends... i still ship this drama regardless of ave x or wtf her name is. i don't even watch her videos. i have 20+ years of dramas to go back off of. i deigned myself to watch multiple versions of hana yori dango. this drama is still an 8 in my heart. haters be haters.

It's interesting that you commented on both of my comments. But yes, I am familiar with this actor from Ruyi to even Legend of Yun Xi. There's even a spy one that I heard he does well in as well. It is refreshing to see him act in a role where it doesn't require martial arts.

Though, I actually REALLY like Jin Han and he's really blowing me away with his performance.

I truly do believe that she feels bad for rejecting him a second time, even after all he's done to help her at the expense of upsetting his own mother.

I mean to be honest, I'd cry too. His second confession was pretty heartbreaking. Imagine this decent scholar who she has connected on an intellectual and moral level (especially when she's been wronged by a corrupted king/uncle and obsessive ex-husband) tells that you that he always thought he would be alone in this world until he met you. Would you cry?

I just have to add to this discussion, I'm currently trying lazily to learn mandarin. I prefer english subtitles, but I also can read vietnamese. Sometimes when I feel that the english subtitles are lacking, I actually go back to read the vietnamese subtitles bc I KNOW it has a deeper meaning.

Even as I watch jun jiu ling and with my basic mandarin understanding, the translation dissatisfies me. I also have noticed that dramas have been consistently around 40 episodes, at least the handful of ones that I've watched recently.

I developed mild second lead syndrome from this encounter.

Personally I don't think either one of them will die since I have this theory that zhu zan's parents will 😭😭. But maybe we can be wrong! C-drama formulas.... 🙄

i LOVE the 3 of them together, that scene where jiu ling greets yun zhao while he's on the horse and then it cuts to their faces. 💀💀💀
