I don't know if season 2 would solve the problem with the script though, technically speaking this part of the story has ended. They cannot just re-write it, only continue. I don't think I would care all too much for continuation at this stage though, if I'm honest.

Well, I didn't have any complaints about the acting. The script for me here is the problem, the direction was overall good with some issues but they can be easily overlooked. I just don't know if Seasons 2 would solve the problem.

Sigh. I really wanted to like this, such a great potential. But felt like they shove in way too much stuff, so many things were not resolved in a proper manner. The whole depression and therapist thing I simply didn't get and got annoyed with. That therapist was talking so much nonsense and I just wanted to skip it. And the resolution to his depression was... a lady in an eatery? Anyway, very well shot series but such an unsatisfying ending for me; very rushed. That whole gathering in the end rubbed me the wrong way, all relationships problems were just solved in one night? IDK, doesn't sit right with me.

Well, I agree with the original comment and so far I don't see the episode count being an issue here at all. It's hard to judge how many episodes they should've done when the series hasn't even finished yet, no? I like the plot progression so far and I don't feel bored with the show. I can see how they can potentially fill 12 episodes. I usually struggle to maintain any interest in the show for 4 episodes with the majority of Thai BLs, this one, on the other hand, seems to be doing a great job at keeping me interested. The story is not finished yet, so, I'd like them to keep going with it,

People are complaining about the plot too though lol. But the plot is shouldn't always be about conflict between leads. I'm glad their conflict is more often of the external nature. Not everyone's relationship is just one problem after another, or taking forever to figure out that they even like each other. It is interesting (at least for some) to watch how a good and healthy relationship develops too, how two people can handle problems in a mature way through communication. It's a good enough plot for me. Last episode was kind odd in the end, but besides that I had no complaints about the plot or the lack of it.

I partially agree. I'd rather prefer it more about Cher being scared of loving someone again fully that struggling with the coming out situation (I just don't see Cher being this kind of character), but overall I agree. I see why Cher has a problem being open about his feelings in general, but I'm just glad that Gun is mature enough to solve problems at hand as they come, and in a calm manner. It helps a person like Cher to be open in the future.

But this whole breaking up situation pissed me off, ngl. They really should've just told them to calm it down a little, not to plant even more insecurities in Cher's brain.

It's nonsense but I wouldn't say it's for the filler. They needed some hurdle in a relationship for plot progression, which is alright, I just think it is handled poorly. And from the preview, they seem to resolve it pretty fast, which is kind of expcted from them, lol. At least these two can communicate.

I totally agree. Too many conflicts and in the end nothing get properly developed and gets rushed through. If it was a longer series, I would be possible, perhaps, but not in this scenario.

Well, I know the feeling! I tend to comment if I feel like people with similar opinions (or just opinions I can respect) need support, especially when in minority. Because sometimes you get the impression like you're the only one when you're not, really. Healthy dialogue is good, even if you have different views, but it seems most people active in MDL comment section think in black and white.

(I kind of checked your watchlist and can certainly tell you like plot-driven romance ^^ Was nice to see some less-known pieces highly rated!)

I agree about it losing steam. I was quite excited at first, as the pacing felt right at the very beginning. But now it just feels as they tried to stuff the show with too many things while not having enough time to develop anything. I just felt like after the third or fourth episode we don't even see any profound character development. Everything just feels kind of flat if not cliched. And their interactions didn't even have "getting to know each other better" vibes, they were just there. Nothing happened. They didn't really talk. Even the time they spent together was just Jae-won being off most of the time. I realised today that I wasn't excited to see the drama, I just want to know how it ends, really. Which is disappointing because the potential was truly there.

And on that note, I really dislike that that made the ex-girlfriend and that annoying friend THAT annoying. They lack dimension, like, as characters they are not interesting. in my opinion. They are there for plot progression, I understand, but I wasn't ready to be annoyed this much all the time while they were on screen.

Anyways, I'm glad to see that I'm not alone with some critique. ^^

People are different, I hope you do recognise that. Some have high sexual drive, some don't. And then there comes respecting the boundaries and generally person's wishes. People have jobs, feelings, things going on, they get tired physically and emotionally. Just because their sexual life is not what you imagine two guys should have, it doesn't mean it's not realistic.

Well, because people don't have sex every night and because sleeping comfortably is a thing? Being together in one bed is more than enough for a lot of couples when it comes to their sleeping arrangements. The fact that they don't want to jump on each other makes them look more like an actual couple, they're not some horny guys who just want one thing.

I had a very specific question out of curiosity. Your freedom of speech tangent, if I can even call it that as it is unrelated to the subject matter, is just a defensive nonsense. No one is stifling your freedom to speak your mind. If you don't have a decent answer to a question, instead of trying to accuse someone of something completely unrelated, perhaps just ignore it next time. You'll look wiser at least. Why are you so concerned with the ratings? Genuinely curious. Because, like, each to their own. I very much disliked both Our Dating Sim and A Shoulder to Cry On, didn't go there to complain about how high the ratings were though. I guess people like it, I don't have a problem with it.

Maybe, I just feel like other series don't get this much negativity, though I don't usually read comments here all too much, only check them if I'm curious. Just got me surprised. Though I once saw people being overly defensive of a series that, well, wasn't to everyone's taste at best. That was fun lol.

When did they agree? They have never had a conversation about it, not even about the kiss. Their trip was an element of getting to know each other better, not getting into a relationship. Friends also go on trips and have fun and have meaningful conversations. People get drunk with friends too, lol. Heck, people even make out with their friends. It's important to establish a relationship by communicating and not reading the (potentially wrong) signs.
