He hides his face by wearing really low baseball caps. I can psychoanalyze him if you want deeper but generally for me, he is trying to “not be seen”. He was loved so much for his face in 2001. But no one ever tried to “find” the real him. Definitely not trying to look young, more than one interview he jokingly says he has an “annoying face”. I believe he hates people see his face not him.

Yes music score, cinematography and acting are definitely top-notch. I actually also like the little tweaks in the characters of He Ran and Xiao Han. In the novel, she is more of an ice queen & definitely “not pure” as Xiao Han said in an earlier episode. He on the other hand practised no restraint right from the start.
