until which arc should you consider for someone to have seen to not ruin the experience? i've only seen up to…
thanks for the reply! that's a long way from where i left it, honestly wasn't even expecting it to get that point in this season. will see if i can get some time to read one piece before watching s2. i'm in no hurry to watch it anyways, so might as well delay it ig.
Fantastic movie. As usual, more challenging arthouse movies on the more darker side are brutally underrated on…
i would say i'm quite used to seeing films like this and still was only able to grasp the film on a surface level, so i can understand the confusion of people here who tend to start complaining about not being able to understand when the story is a bit non-linear. i somehow ended up liking AALCC a bit more than this one, both very fascinating films tho.
try watching the jp version, that one's better imo. loved tvd but originals got a better conclusion and legacies…
i think twilight got me into that (sort of, not 100% sure), it was around 9 years ago. have long since gotten out of my mythological creature films/series fever lol. spn gotta be my favorite in this genre ngl. doctor who could be a candidate but it's more of a fantasy and science fiction than mythology from real world.
Oh so it's a Korean remake of the jpanese movie which is on netflix as well. now I'm a little confused should…
try watching the jp version, that one's better imo. loved tvd but originals got a better conclusion and legacies in all honesty just is ridiculous, never got around to finishing the final season. how far you into tvd btw?
not a live action but madhouse is making an anime, hopefully there won't be any of those weird zooming and other weird stuff this jdrama had (like those over the top sound effects for fukunaga's character). i think someone here said that it has all those things because it was adapted from a manga, when in truth the manga mostly took itself very seriously, it's this adaptation that made it a lot more light-hearted. if i remember correctly, this version of liar game doesn't present any consequences if you were to end up being unable to pay the debt you owed (might be remembering it wrong), in the manga there is always an impending sense of doom that the participants might be sold off to a island as slaves, or be lab rats, or have their organs sold, etc.
Nao pisses me off sooooo bad with the unnecessary dumbness but I guess thats the whole plot...she keeps messing…
the manga author wrote nao that way purposefully, it ends up making the later development much more rewarding. the last few volumes actually made me like nao just about as much as akiyama, in some moments even more. i've not seen past this season yet but since the films were released way before the manga ended, i'm pretty sure the later development of nao's character happens wildly different.
Season 2 has been confirmed by YLAB, the production company. In their 2025 Q3 Investor Relations Data Presentation…
in the document attached, there is also a mention of reawakened man with a 2026 date on page 25, is that for one of the live actions or we getting an animated adaptation for it.
hanyoung decided to tell/lie to shinjin about how he wanted revenge for his father, to save park cheol woo from…
as han young already said it's a trap, him getting a call from kang shin jin coincidentally at the same time solidifies that part. at that time, he knew if he ignored his offer and went to park cheol woo, he'll probably be able to save the prosecutor but will also be getting a target on his back. and he can't afford it at a point when he doesn't even know of the backing behind kang shin jin (the former president park kwang to).
as for kang shin jin, i don't think he was trying to kill park cheol woo because he's the prosecutor investigating that mayor case, it was mostly because of his past affiliation with han young. when he was clear of han young's intentions, he had no reason whatsoever to go as far getting an incumbent prosecutor killed, it would eventually make a bigger mess for him to clean when he already got his hands full with trying to cut-off the mayor's connection to park kwang to.

was a test for him to check his affiliation with park cheol woo. kang shin jin doesn't have the ability to trust people, the only thing he trusts is greed or ambition. so telling him that means that han young is selfish and can be controlled.
i was actually thinking as to why the villain here has pretty much the same ideals as the one from again my life, both web novels are written by the same person.
Can't find where to watch the Director's Cut so I just looked up scene by scene that was changed and - No wonder…
the director's cut is not an extended version, it's more or less an alternative retelling of this story with some scenes from this theatrical version removed while also doing an alternative retake for some scenes that were in the theatrical version hence changing the overall impact of a scene to reach a different ending. for example: min tae joo scenes are shown as more affectionate and the overall focus of the film shifts from the father-daughter bond to the deteriorating mental state of kim byung soo.
personal opinion but i sat through both versions back to back and most definitely found the theatrical version to be vastly superior to the director's cut. i did enjoy both but just saying it.
director miki takahiro specialist with this type of genre ðŸ˜
absolutely love his films and he'll be working with michieda shunsuke again, loved even if this love disappears from the world tonight, that's my fav takahiro film and i do have high hopes for this one, let's see how it turns out.
When watching episode 1, I just have one nitpick (maybe I'm OCD), couldn't they have, y'know, printed a Japanese…
the leaflet probably went there through the sea or something since it was put in a bottle, i was actually impressed at that point to the in universe promotion of their service. if it was in japanese, i think yun i seo wouldn't have been able to read it which would make up for another plot hole if she knew what was written on it.
