Another one of those movies that will only appeal to a select group. It's not a thriller as one may think. Even the revelation may not do it for some. As for me, I enjoyed it for how the director took a concept many are able to relate to and made art out of it. It will turn off suspense junkies. But for those who like reading into films and finding the meaning behind it, it will be memorable.

I wanted to add you cause I read a comment about Paksa from you. I loved that drama and enjoy talking about it. hee well thank you for accepting.

Typical super hero flick with character and comedy. I thought the allure of this movie was Woochi. Not just powerful, but he has a charismatic way about him and you will laugh much. If it's your thing...there are plenty of effects and fight scenes. He's a wizard after all.<br /><br />My only gripe with it is that it overdid it at times with the things that made it work. Like the comedy, fight scenes... But that could just be me.

started watching his stuff because I heard Joo Won sorta looked like him. I know...I'm always late on the scene of finding actors. however, because of that, I got to watch 2 excellent films. Duelist will go down as one of my favorites.

I completely agree with you. So much that I clicked on your profile and was greeted by a lovely gif of Joo Won waving. Must be great minds think alike. heh

The Duelist is a piece of art. A masterpiece that uses color, motion, expression (facial and body), dance and music to tell a story. Short on dialogue, the few words spoken are only what's necessary. It requires a deep imagination. It requires you to ponder. It requires you to read into every piece of emotion. But the beauty of it all is that you learn something new with each viewing. It's the movie that changed how I watched movies.

BTW, don't watch it as an action movie. Really, it's more of a love story between 2 people of opposite sides.

I thought it was simple and cute. Even though a lot of people found it repetitive with how he kept going back...I saw it more as someone who really loved and wouldn't give up. At the beginning, the question is asked if someone can change so easily. That question is important because in reality, one doesn't. Cause it's not about changing what you do...but who you are.

Mainly cause of what Razar said. If you watch til the end of the credits...there is a very short scene where he is standing in the middle of a crowd, on the phone. And he has a beige suit on. You only see his back but you can tell it is him. ^^

I want a film or drama in which he has the main role. This guy is too awesome to be given supporting roles. Even though he makes a great villain too.

I wish this were a drama instead. I would have liked to gotten to know the characters better. Seen more of their interactions with the people they were with. Especially the other two. PKW's character auditioning. LHW in school. There would have been a lot of material to keep the drama going for at least 20 eps...which would have given the viewers the opportunity to connect with the 3.

haha me too. I made the stupid? decision to get ready for work and watch the remainder before I left. well so I was trying to wipe away the tears without smudging my makeup.
