Bad for you and its perfectly okay of you share your opinions and move on. But you are literally questioning every positive comment. Why???

Reviews with low ratings often complaine about misleading promotion of this drama, bad script with plot holes…
Calling everyone who enjoyed the drama swooning fangirls is a little too much. I have read the novel and I enjoyed it because it brought 70% of my favorite scenes to life quite loyally which is pretty great for an adaptation.
Also its not the show's fault that people failed to realize how integral the romance would be based on I don't know one whole trailer just focused on romance or the fact that the book is a romcom??
The plot hole complains are mostly by people who dropped and did not wait long enough for the show to explain the plot lines. The whole how did no one realize the switch is very well explained in the show.

People are just being demanding, not haters. I’ve seen way better martial arts scenes from Bruce Lee’s country.…
Its exactly because they do not have large FDs that a hit drama is making other large FDs insecure and dragging down the show. You don't think it's weird that a "bullied FL" tag got added when its literally factually wrong

When things start becoming too much of a hit, haters will always pop up. Its cool to hate on popular things. Also there is a reason the rating is still high and its still number 2 in viewership so I would suggest you try and see if you like it.

The author literally wrote this novel as a romantic comedy. How are they supposed to remove the romance??
Also you seem a little too negative about this show. Why are you under so many positive comments trying saying how much you disliked it?

If you check out some of the comments on the top I think the answer will be quite evident. And I would like to repeat I enjoyed both these shows and I have nothing against the actor/actress.

I think most people expectations were too high including mine. After the middle you just realize this drama has…
TPOB is a good show, a solid 9 but there is barely any chemistry between the leads for majoirity of the show. Yes they have great intimate scenes but before that there is no spark. Also there are barely any battle scenes in that show and the ones that exist do not have the best choreography. In both these factors, LOTFG is much better.
Coroner's Diary is definitely a 10.

I don't think its ridiculous at all when there are multiple accounts literally copy pasting the same comments. And a negative tag getting added which is completely wrong. Had it not been for those two things, I would have totally accepted the comments as genuine. There is for sure something going on here. And yes 8.6 is a great rating.

Which rule book states that a Female general has to be formidable in her personal life??? She can't be giggly…
I have already explained to you that your thoughts on trauma response are completely wrong. The common factor in all personality researches is that there is never a fixed a trauma response. There is no rulebook that if someone went through A they have to become B. There are plenty of people who become reckless post trauma rather than cautious.

As for the first part- I understamd that was your expectation of the show. But not a single trailer, teaser mentions things like underdog and struggles from the bottom.
I have read the novel and the fact that they could not show the rebirth trope made it more sense to have the FL keep her skills rather than start from bottom. There is no way they could have adapted that story with the episode limit. It would have only led to butchering of further arcs which were more important imo. But again I understand your perspective was different as a reader

Again you clearly did not understand the theme of the show. There is no point in highlighting her past because she was never herself. She was always pretending.
The show very early on established that they were forcing her to believe that all she achieved was because of He Ru Fei name . The theme of the show is her proving that her skills were her own and they still are even under another name. It focuses on the future and the present because she is finally living as herself and she is going to take back everything she was denied.
That said I agree that showing her past as a General would have added more nuance to the story.
But I cannot agree with your take on her personality. Trauma response is not a universal language and her response to hers is as valid as anyone else's. You actually see her struggling with her identity alot. She constantly questions her masks. All she knows is that she wants to be a general again.

There are some flaws I want to know why 1:don't they notice height and overall difference when her brother change…
He Yan as He Ru Fei was shy and never met alot of people outside her army. She never went to court.
The only one who saw her before the switch happened was Xiao Jue and he saw her after years. (She joins the military at 15). He was in the middle of the battle holding his dead father so I doubt he was noticing her height.

He Ru Fei the real one goes to court in ep 1 and since no one has met him before they do not see any difference

In ep 23 or 24 its revealed that since the switch He Ru Fei has had no contact with his army, claiming that he was injured which also reduced his martial art skills.

The first time he goes to battle with his army he kills He Yan's closest deputies who could identify him as an impostor.

He Yan is always in men's attire and uniform except in Jiyang and she can easily pass for a small effiminiate man. That is why her friend call her "Pretty boy"

Which rule book states that a Female general has to be formidable in her personal life??? She can't be giggly…
Actually its an extremely genuine response to trauma that since she was controlled and forced to hide herself for most of her life, she chooses to over- correct once she has her own agency. She is choosing to be the complete opposite of who she was forced to be previously. Its actually a very obvious trauma response.

She has brought plenty of men to their knees as He yan and not just Feihong. She successfully handled the Liehe attack. It was her plan to be the Princess's decoy at Jiyang. Her plan to use straw dummies at Rundu and then burn their grains. All extremely efficient military strategies and all her own. So how can you say that she never proved why she had command? Infact she proved it again and again

And her duality actually shows her trauma even more. You literally see how much she is struggling to be happy in her new life whenever her mask slips.

She also displays plenty of intelligence, stoicism and resillience in her professonal life so whatever she does in her personal one should not factor into it at all. And being giggly and cute infront of your crush is an extremely feminine thing to do.

And you clearly did not understand the show. He Yan's story was never about revenge. It was about reclaiming her identity. All she wanted was to prove that she could be a general even without the He Ru Fei name. She had to take down He Ru Fei because he kept threatening her and Xiao Jue. Revenge was never her end goal. Proving herself with her own identity was which is exactly why the speeches make sense too. Since the very beginning all she has said is I will take back what is mine - her identity. Not revenge

That comment was clearly not meant for you. While your opinion is genuinely valid its a fact that there are many accounts coming here and writing the exact same thing to undermine the show. The "bullied FL" tag is enough proof that there are accounts doing this on purpose. Because that tag is totally factually wrong.

The drama started off promising , her desire for revenge was a strong hook, but it quickly fell apart. She falls…
Which rule book states that a Female general has to be formidable in her personal life??? She can't be giggly and happy with her friends and her crush. He Yan kicks ass everytime she fights. She literally brought men stronger and older than her to their knees which makes her plenty formidable on the battlefield. So where does it say that she cannot be cute in her personal life as long as she is serious and formidable in her job and absolutely destroys enemies in the battlefield. She has to sacrifice her femininity in personal life to be formidable? WHY? She can be girly and cute with her close and loved ones and be ruthless to her enemies. Her duality is the strength of her character. But clearly you expect women to fit stereotypical standards that they need to sacrifice their girliness to be taken seriously.

And about "preaching", you contradict your own logic. You say that He Yan's existence itself is proof women can do anything. Well how many people know she is a woman? When she gives the speech in Jiyang, they have just seen her in action but earlier they thought her a housewife and the women in Rundu never found out she was a female soldier. The people in the palace where she gives a speech infront of the Emperor think she is an ordinary soldier not a general. The show is literally her fight for her identity

I was suspicious as no one of the good people besides her mother died until ep 36... and rightfully so. Why did…
That is the one thing I wish they had changed from the novel. 😅. In the novel some of her squad dies too. I am glad they didn't in the show.
