Everything Pingjun is doing right now, truly staying away from Changxuan, realizing she wants to be more than…
I think her being iffy was my issue too. She wanted to play safe but still poke the bear. Like c'mon girl, you can't have your cake and eat it too. I'm still supportive of her having her own morals and wanting to be independent but don't go playing with others feelings if you truly respect them.
Everything Pingjun is doing right now, truly staying away from Changxuan, realizing she wants to be more than…
Thank you. After the 2 recent episodes, I had to snap back into reality too and remember my initial stance. All I wanted was her to be honest and listen to herself for once. I wanted her to make the leap and choose what she wanted without outside factors. And no matter what she chose, I'd respect it. I think that will be the biggest growth for Pingjun. Making her own choices and being firm with it which is probably why I was excited when she chose Changxuan during the amnesia arc but then we came back to her wishy washy self.
The final episodes are coming super soon but I just had to get this off my chest. I've been thinking about this…
Everything Pingjun is doing right now, truly staying away from Changxuan, realizing she wants to be more than a trophy wife, is exactly what I had been saying she needed to do PRIOR to the amnesia arc. I wanted her to stay away so she could genuinely realize her own feelings and be honest with herself. If you realize you don't want to be with him bc everything in the past was too painful, cool. But I know we'd have no drama to watch if she did lol. If you do want to be with him, fine. The heart wants what the heart wants despite knowing your visions don't align. but RIGHT NOW it's completely different. Despite the memory loss, she still chose to love Changxuan. And it is pretty cruel that fate would play a twisted tale on them like this but decisions were still made. It's tough but she has to face the reality of the consequences and grow from it. Be accountable for your actions. As much as you want to run away and leave behind all your "mistakes", you guys still had something together not to mention, Baby Yu.
As for YCX, I wanted him to stay away from her when he was starting to grow and change. I know he's a fighter and doesn't believe in fate but he needed to respect her wishes of wanting to stay away. That way she can really realize her feelings. I feel like him always being around made her not able to make a choice bc she kept wavering. It's true he loves her but for stubborn people like YPJ, they need to learn on their own. Which is why I'm glad this time around, he's really staying away. He deserves to have someone who wants to fight for him too.
If you read this far, thanks! I don't think I make sense but I needed to de compress.

Another midnight time zone watcher! I'll be here for sure!! I probably won't watch all 6 but most likely I'll…
LOL. I've always said I was the biggest 🤡. I can't stop watching them regardless of how mentally drained I am. Yeah a watch party would be so fun bc I can only imagine the emotions we'll all be going bananas over.
Another midnight time zone watcher! I'll be here for sure!! I probably won't watch all 6 but most likely I'll do 35 &36. But who am I kidding, if I get in the feels I may turn into a zombie mode. Plus, daylight savings is coming. I wish we could all do like a watch party or something. The emotional support will definitely be needed 😅
Genuinely, I'm mentally checked out from analyzing YPJ and YCX's relationship. I'm taking a break to marinate but everyone's thoughts on the latest episode is great. I love the different perspectives and insight.
What I want to truly highlight today is Commander Yu of the 9th army. This may be silly of me but I can't stand Xueting so whenever his scenes come on now I have to mute him. I don't skip scenes and I still want to know what he's doing but hearing his arrogance irritates me. He always tries to corner YCX but apparently he still hasn't learned.
YCX: "Twisting the truth with a stroke of a pen is your specialty, Mr. Jiang. No one can rival you on that. Still, those of us who've braved through gunfire and fought our way through hell see things differently. We won't gamble with our men's lives." 👏👏 Best mic drop from YCX and right after that he walked out like the boss baddie he is!
I understand why she felt the need to run away because it's such an overwhelming truth. And honestly, she must…
Thanks for the insight! When I was talking about YPJ and her mom being similar in the situation, I was thinking more of both them choosing to endure the pain instead of telling the truth to their children. but that's my bad for not being clear. I was too brain fog while writing my point. You aren't wrong though. Changxuan is open arms for YPJ but her assumptions have clouded her judgement.
And it's very unfortunate that it had to come down to that bc of her stubbornness.
Me too! I'm ready to watch in one swoop and get it over with lol. I've been trying my best to see both sides of things whether I agree with it or not, but now, I just want to see YCX become a boss b*tch baddie in the army and take down the enemies. I'm feeling checked out for the leads' story.
I understand why she felt the need to run away because it's such an overwhelming truth. And honestly, she must…
It's not easy one bit. I think this decision is like the other times we've seen the characters have to make hard choices/calls. For Ex) YCX having to choose between lying or telling the truth to YPJ right when she woke up from her amnesia. There's no one right choice bc whatever you choose, there will be a lost on the other end. Ultimately, it boils down to what you think is best at the time and whatever you choose, you just have to be ready to face the consequences from those choices.
I understand why she felt the need to run away because it's such an overwhelming truth. And honestly, she must…
Definitely! I was thinking more of how her mom chose to create a facade of her father and endured the pain instead. I can see YPJ potentially doing something similar. Though I would have to agree that she does have a choice. It's a pretty selfish and risky choice but again, she'd rather run from the problem than confront it.
Ep. 33 had to have been a rage bait episode or something because aint no way did we FINALLY get 1 inner monologue…
I understand why she felt the need to run away because it's such an overwhelming truth. And honestly, she must definitely feel major guilt for being an indirect cause in her mother's death by entangling with YCX. but the reality is, she also fell in love with this man who she clearly knows has done a lot and I mean A LOT of good things for her despite their toxic beginnings hence the hesitation during the scissor scene. I know she recognizes his growth which is what makes it harder for her to choose. One is her mom and one is her lover. And while it's a tough decision, she's choosing to run from the truth and possibly endure all the pain by herself instead of facing it head on and clearing up the air bc it's the easier thing to do. YPJ's situation is starting to look like her mom and Papa Tao with their situation in the past. TL;DR: Ye Pingjun is struggling to face reality and still can't be honest with herself.
