HIStory 2 Right or Wrong (arguably my favourite show out there) and Boundary Crossing are both amazing. Also the side story to LBC - Tharn Type is now airing and so far is pretty good as well (and will feature some of the LBC cast as well).

Yeah. Like the whole plot was pretty... uncomfortable. But the actors executed the everything so well. James had me sobbing through the whole episode

From what I've read about the book the show seemed very accurate and faithful to the source material for the ending

Knowing the ending in advance didn't make me any less infuriated.
Though that message at the end makes me think that they may be considering making the "Good" ending as well

Woah. They put a content warning on their twitter... I think I'm going to take a moment to emotionally prep myself before diving into Ep 3

The updated episode count really isn't that shocking. They got through most of the plot of the book already. And it is only really 18 chapters (I think) worth of content for them to work with.

That does sound like the more painless way to watch the series. I think I'm just too impatient lol

And I guess now we know for sure which version they are planning on using. I think I'm still processing that whole final scene (foreknowledge did not help me at all) but what I can say is that James showed some really good acting. I genuinely started feeling nauseous during *that* scene and it really left me feeling gross and having a bad taste in my mouth.

The dark ending is ambiguous. If you remember the opening scene had Keng and Shin on opposite sides of a road. Apparently they begin to walk to each other and there is a sound of a car crash but it is not clear who gets hit. (I got this from Lazy Subber on facebook. They have a more detailed summary of the novel)

Lazy Subber on Facebook summarized both versions of the novel if you are interested in spoilers. But to answer your question, if they are using the "dark" version of the novel (since it has a good and bad ending ) then yes, it will get darker. I haven't had a chance to watch episode 2 so I'm not sure what went down yet.

Okay. So I haven't had a chance to watch the 2nd episode yet, but from what I'm seeing in the comments, I don't think I'd be wrong to assume they are going with the dark version then...
