About the story, its premise and the differences between the novel and the series:Well, it's a fantasy story about…
The exactly same thing that is happening with CutiePie happened with Utsukushii Kare (My Beautiful Man): every time someone drew some criticism towards the series, someone would show up saying "but the characters' motivations are very well explained in the novel...", as if the only way one could understand the series would be reading the novel. And, for me, who only read the novel when I actually like the series, that doesn't work this way. For me both medias have to work well separately.
And, as you said, the kiss make totally sense in the series because it makes the plot as a whole work. They have swapped their bodies, so even though it was Win's soul there, he was still kissing Lin's lips and that's why he said that he couldn't say that nothing happened between the both of them.
It pisses me off when people compare this story to other series with body swapping, because this is actually the first one who got this right. The body swapping isn't just there as comic relief. It actually means something and, in the end, they do take responsibility for their actions, which doesn't happen in other series: they just keep living as if the swapping has never happened.
It's not just about saving the siblings. It's a litte more than that. It's about saving oneself and self-discovery. Win is a short tempered, headstrong, selfish guy, who only cared about his own opinions. He needed to "be saved" from himself so he could go on with his life and find happiness. It's a metaphorical pun lol
I have to say that my opinion is quite different from here. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. Here's…
About the story, its premise and the differences between the novel and the series:
Well, it's a fantasy story about the existence of souls and the possibility of it may change the body and still maintain its essence, implying that the souls are more important than its shells.
Korn is in love with Win, his soul, and not just his body. So you think that if Win's body had been destroyed on the accident, Korn should have stopped loving Win?
About Korn having intimacy moments with Lin, most of the things he has done with her body were things that he would do to Lin herself. You can see how attached and affectionate they are towards eachother (and a lot of scenes where we see them cuddling are flashbacks from when they were friends, before the accident). And, about the kiss, Korn knew he was somehow taking advantage of Lin's body, so that's exactly the reason for him to "take responsibility" and marry her.
I know it's based upon a novel, but this is a tv series. They are two different kinds of medias and, consequently, have two different types of audience demographics. It's impossible to go full on details and descriptions in a tv series as you could do on a novel - it would make the series boring as hell. That's why screenwriters take some liberties and change some things from the original material to the screen (just look what Anucha did with Not Me). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Once again, this is a fictional story and I keep wondering what some of you would do if you were in their position...
I can't believe someone is saying that The Shipper had a bad story progression than this one, but to each their own.
About the technical aspects, I kind of agree with most of the things you said.
It's funny how you dropped the series on ep 4 yet you wrote a review talking about the series as a whole. I bet if you watch it again you'll have a completely different opinion.
I can't believe it's already over and I can't wait to watch it all over again when it comes out on YouTube.
I see that some people are still judging it without even have passed the two first episodes and basing their criticism on other people's opinions. I can't wait for them to watch it by themselves and see how good this story really is. It's far from being perfect, but it's really good and different from every body swapping story that have been done before.
For all the people coming here and who are reading the comments: give this show a chance.
Did you watched the ep 9 ... Where... English sub?.... What happened in the episode...Thank you in advance
Win's mother thinks Lin is in love with Korn and vice versa, so she's making them get engaged. Lin and the Doctor went on with the idea thinking that Win would confess his feelings to Korn and stop the wedding, but their mom made him promise that he'd be okay with the wedding.
I agree. The tone has completely changed. They have suddenly put all the emphasis on the court instead of the…
I never liked Tae. I don't think he's a good actor. But so far, thanks to the other characters, I was enjoying Fah and Thorn, but after episode 11... err .
