I think these are the parts that are missing: the letter was a love letter from Ryu. After reading the letter, Choi went to Ryu's house and when he got there his mother-in-law told him that sentence which says that the one who misses is the one who has to reach out. And that's how Choi found Ryu.

It's not bad. It's actually fun to watch. But it definitely isn't that good either, because it looks more like a fantasy-comedy drama than a period drama.
Overall I loved this series and its premise, but I felt like the ending was very veeery rushed and unsatisfying. Something was definitely missing. I hope they add somenmore scenes in the movie version.
