"what you see in films and series aren't real". Really? Isn't it all based on reality? I think you've totally missed the point of what's art for. It's about entertainment but it's also about making people think.
We're here talking about a platform, which is seen by millions and millions of people around the world, condoning a certain kind of behavior or situation and presenting it as if those actions simply don't have any consequences and, worse of all, as if those type of attitudes are normal expressions of love.
And this discussion has nothing to do with the discussion about videogames and etc.
HIStory5 has already been confirmed to air later this year so I think they'll be closing the MODC arc story here…
After the ending of MODC and all the online rage about XiGu's death, they released a novelization version of the series with an alternative ending in which Hao Ting wakes up and finds out that XiGu didn't die and all that happened in episodes 19-20 was nothing but a nightmare.
So I said that the only way a second season of MODC would make sense was if this ending was the real one, got it? Because what's the point of a MODC 2 if XiGu will still be dead?
And to the imbeciles hemming and hawing about people being driven to do things they witnessed on this show: if…
I honestly can't see the point and the relation between what you said and what's been mostly criticized here. I haven't seen anyone saying that the series would "drive someone to do things...". What I'm seeing here - and I totally agree with - is the fact that the series is not alone presenting controversial subjects but also treating them as acceptable, romantic situations.
I will give you an example of one of the things people are mad about: besides romanticizing rape, do you remember that episode after the drugging and the rapping in which the characters were blaming the victim for the raping?
That's what people are complaining about: the fact that so many bad things happened and the person who's done all of that simply walked away freely and still managed to get his happy ending.
The amount of cringe in this show is on a whole new level. I can't think of a single episode that I watched in…
I still don't understand how there are so many people finding the brothers situation ever remotely acceptable (and i'm not even talking about the fact that they grew up as brothers, i mean all of the rest: aggressive behaviors, stalkery, drugging, rape...)
why can't they enjoy both ways? why do you girls always expect this kind of things from gay relationships? it's time for us to move on from those kind of stereotypes.
C'mon, people, the guy said that he wasn't mad or sad after his brother has drugged and rapped him. He was sad only because YongJie said - again, after have drugged and rapped him - that he wasn't his brother. WHAT THE ACTUAL FURCK?? And there are people here finding this beautiful and romantic? Wtf is wrong with you guys? This was creepy af.
I'm so taken with An Jun Peng's acting. What a great performance he's giving as Xingsi.Lin Chia Wei as Youngjie…
For me An Jun Peng acting is the weakest among the 4 ML. We're heading to the finale and his character is completly forgettable and hasn't shown any signs of character development. He's supposed to be a 28 years old character who - although has some daddy issues - has a successful career. However that's not what we see onscreen. Tbh everything related to this part of the story is just wrong.
OMG! I can't believe one of my biggest dreams about BL series just came true!! They finally did it. I can't believe I've just seen gay characters from a BL saying that there's no need to worry about who'll be the seme or uke because IT DOESN'T MATTER. It's male-male relationship then EVERYTHING can happen. I'm over the moon.
I'm reading some bad comments here, but I honestly watched the entire episode with a smile on my face. I know we've had loads of stories with engineers students, but it's refreshing to see one that already starts with the characters being openly (!?) gay.
Although I had a little bit of problem with the continuity in the first episodes, the series was such a nice surprise and it really grew on me. I really enjoyed it and I also loved the fact that they placed all those LGBTQ+ movie posters on the bedroom settings. Tbh, this series is way better than most of the shows that were released in the same period of time. It's definitely not flawless, but it sure deserves more attention. Finally, a round of applause to the entire cast for such brilliant performances (especially the secondary CP).
Just imagine living in a universe where being gay is so ok that your family would even arrange your marriage to other man without even questioning your sexuality

So, please, don't mix things up.
The only possible way MODC 2 could make sense would be if the alternative ending from the novelization was the real one.

Ok, Mork, my heart's yours. You can take it.
