The only part I strongly disagree with you is the part in which you talked about the acting... the ML were ok, but the actors playing the supporting characters were a little off for me. As far as the other points you've mentioned, I think you're partially right, yet everything about this series screams "HIStory" for me - even the crazy, over the top storyline.

It's off to a great start, but I had the feeling I was watching an arc from the HIStory anthology. It's exactly the same mood, pacing and editing.

If there's really going to be a MODC sequel, I think they'll probably use the alternative ending from the novelization.

I know I will be repeating myself here, but if you put all of Yong Jie traces of personality and attitudes in one of those psychological exams it would probably say he's a psycho (especially after what he said in the wedding scene). Just try it.

I wonder if the people behind this arc have ever met a real gay person before writing this story. Close to You, alongside Obsessed and My Hero, ranks the lowest among all the HIStory arcs. I honestly only watched till the very ending because I wanted to see the MODC characters once again.

This episode was a little bit messy and rough around the edges, but I'm gonna keep watching it for its fluffiness.

This series is simply one of the cutest and fluffiest BLs I've ever watched in all these years. This is exactly the kind of show I want to sit and enjoy on a Friday night. I sincerely hope they keep on with all of this, because that's everything I asked for and more.


BTW the scene in which Pee explains the meaning of FISH UPON THE SKY... OMG... I was speechless.
