Even though I really love the two main leads, nothing in this movie made sense to me (and I'm not just talking about the maths part, missing subs). It's an ok watch but you won't miss out by skipping this.
I did however enjoy seeing Zhang Han play the opposite of his role in ShanShan, he has more life here. Zhao Zanilla was as adorable as ever in this too.
This drama was so cute and adorable. Watching Kahako mature was a delight and honestly the actress did an amazing job. The character she played could have easily been very unlikable and yet she made Kahako so relatable. I could sort of see where the parents were coming from and they didn't come off as evil, just over protective. My only complaint was the last episode seemed too rushed to solve everything and they could have really paced it out better from ep 8 onwards. If you're looking for something that pull off adorableness perfectly this is the one to watch!
Kameee!!! <3 . I haven't watched many jdramas but the ones I watched with Kame have always been delightful. Also I really loved that this stalker's guide opened with the idea that stars are human beings too. I had a similar feeling to the writer when I saw Gong Yoo and how girls chased and threw themselves at him (in a really scary manner). It freaked me out, no wonder they have to live their lives somewhat in hiding.
Wow although I love this drama, but what the heck was up with the last 2 episodes? Everything ended sooo fast…
"Everything ended sooo fast and that unnecessary angst"- right? I skipped through the last episodes because it was just too much and so not needed. The curse of Kdramas...they always leave everything to happen/be resolved in the last 2 episodes.
I like the drama and love the lead male - Choi Kang Soo. I dislike the "lead" female. Her violent actions…
I do think it was bad writing. They seem to have mistaken violence for strong female lead traits. Also I don't remember seeing her in anything else but I felt like the actress didn't emote much and so you end up finding her character less relatable or likeable.
Cute drama but the mains lacked any form of chemistry, even though Go Kyung Pyo has it streaming down his ears, unfortunately the female lead did not. The second leads are far more cuter together and I ended up watching the drama for them. It's a shame because I really wanted to see Go Kyung Pyo as a main lead and now need him to do another drama with a female lead he has more chemistry with. Drama's OST was pretty good, and plot line standard of optimistic youth fighting against the battles life throw at them. It's a fun watch with all the friendship (if a little stretched). Worth watching as an in between drama.
That ending.....it creeped me out quite a bit. I'm not sure i would forgive him if i were in her shoes, its…
In Time With You is honestly the only taiwanese drama to date that actually has made sense to me and with proper development of the characters. I love that show. I haven't seen the other you have mentioned but I will check them out.
When they do write strong female leads in kdramas halfway through they just fizzle out into helpless with no opinions by the finale. I did however adore Lee Yoo Ri's character in the recent drama My Father's is Strange. She stayed fierce throughout the show despite exposing her vulnerabilities multiple times. There need to be more characters written like that who aren't typecast as the evil antagonist.

Ikr? I feel like these dramas just cross too many lines sometimes. That's why my favourite dramas end up being ones that are filled with strong female leads like in Miss Korea (man that show had all the strong-somewhat flawed- female characters). Because despite what corporate execs think, I prefer my female characters to be able to stand up for themselves and not be doormats - ala playful kiss.
I get the whole romance thing too, but when you begin to normalise sexual harassment there are real life consequences! (Gah I could write pages on this subject tbh).
At the risk of repeating everyone else, damn Lee Yoo Ri stole this entire show. I loved everything about her character, how strong, sexy and intelligent she was throughout the drama and how she remained that way from ep 1. to ep 52. Good job on the writers for not letting her become the weak female kdrama leads that most are plagued with. Her acting was on point throughout the drama and I adored her relationship. You could tell the writer was giving social commentary (about living with your partner/ the mother-in-law dilemma) subtly through her, and she was able to deliver it without being preachy. But it wasn't just the points where her character had to be strong, it was her weakest moments in the show that made me fall in love with her character. The only time I cried in whilst watching this was the scene when she confronts her parents on what they had done. That scene alone should nominate her for multiple awards.
I also thought Lee Joon did an amazing job in this drama. Man can he emote. You really feel all his pain but unfortunately towards the end it seemed like he didn't have much of a role to play even though he was the main character. I felt like his role became significantly smaller and he just seemed to become a side character. I also didn't really feel the chemistry in his love story and that's not on him. I didn't feel any of the emotions in any of Jung So Min's scenes so I think she probably wasn't the best choice for this drama. Her character was very typical and unfortunately she wasn't able to make anything special out of that.
The parents were superb, being seasoned actors. One can only wish for someone who loves like the parents loved each other. You can see their love translate into how much their kids love and respect them. I like that the drama portrayed older relationships that can be affectionate as opposed to just "companionship", and another marriage where they struggle to bring back that initial affection. All the other cast members were adorable, though I really didn't care for the uncle/grandma sub story and I skipped almost all of their scenes. I think with family dramas there should be some control over the plot and number of characters. This drama didn't have that and thus their filler scenes/secondary characters are boring and pointless. Honestly the drama could have been shorter and better without them.
It isn't as good as Smile, You or Ojakgyo Brothers, but this is still definitely a sweet, heartwarming drama with lots of love filled in it. It's 52 episodes worth spending your time on.

Hahaha lol!! I think the worst one for me was Autumn's Concerto and the completely pointless and unnecessary rape subplot that happened. That destroyed the entire drama for me. And I just checked my list and Apple In Your Eye is on my dropped list for a reason! haha. omg these dramas need to stop using these sort of situations as stupid plot devices if they aren't going to treat them seriously.

I will never do that to another human being.
