I'm with all the Healer hurt fans. That drama was amazingly done with a touch of everything that flowed almost seamlessly together, a rare feat in dramaland. (Also did anyone else feel like the recent events in Korean politics were so similar to Healer's plot?)

Haven't watched the other apart from Mary and agree with the review of that, its a loveable strange drama.

This was shot like movie, not like a drama. You feel like each episode is a slow paced movie. Yes this drama's pace is slow, sometimes frustratingly but you get to see something through that that you don't in normal dramas, the development of a relationship. From complete strangers to basically soulmates. Like others I agree the drama focused too much on Kim Young Jin and in doing so it ignored its own greatest plot device; time travel. Time travel dramas work when the concept of time remains the main focus, as in Nine and Signal. The drama lost its focus on the second half when it stopped playing with the concept of time. That was its biggest mistake.

On the other hand the reason I was continuously hooked was due the Shin Min Ah and Lee Je Hoon's chemistry together. They really were a couple that showed us openly what marriage life can be like, the happiness, the doubts, the fights and the love. I adored all their scenes together (and the lack of them in the last 2 episodes was why I skipped so much). You could really feel them miss each other and kept rooting for Shin Min Ah's love to win over Lee Je Hoon early on. It does leave you feeling a little heavy and I think because of the way it was shot, a little depressed. However this is one for the romantics, so I definitely loved it in the end.

"I'm sorry, having positive human relations in a drama...is a PLUS, not a negative".- So much truth and the reason I ended up turning away from "realistic" american content. I prefer a world where people learn the value of human relations rather than spend eternity chasing money and power.

I adored this drama, I'm so very glad I watched it despite the comments and reviews. The male lead is amazing and he has captured the essence of people with social anxiety. I was exactly like that throughout my entire school life, so afraid to speak that people thought I couldn't either speak english or that I couldn't even speak. And like him, I eventually grew but big crowds still freak me out and I prefer smaller group discussions. The way the drama handles his phobias were all too real for me so for that alone I loved this drama.

But I even liked the female lead, yes she was very aggressive, but her reasons were valid. Everything she knew was lost, so I found her character's actions pretty logical. I found the first 4 episodes to be quite exciting so I didn't get the fuss about them. The drama sort of dragged on with too many fillers in the last 3-4 eps, but that is a k-drama norm.

My only negative comment about this drama was Yi Soo and Kang Woo's ending, it felt too fake and forced in the end. The writers shouldn't have let it end that way after everything that happened, it made everything that happens in the first half of the drama feel so trivial that it may as well not have happened. (Also that Kang Woo was forgiven too easily and portrayed to be suffering when in the first half of the drama you couldn't figure out if he was "good" or "bad" ). That really spoiled the ending for me but apart from that I found this to be a great drama to watch.

This. I was pretty surprised, I assumed SK would be higher than JP cause it seems a little less traditional. They really need to start more positive campaigns that empower women to work and be moms, and push for more equality in the work place. My friend in JP always complains that even though she and her male counterpart at work are at the same level the boss will always only ask her to make tea/coffee for guests. It's may sound tiny but its so discriminatory!!

My fav has to be the three friends. They were so cute everytime they were on screen together and really loved each other so much esp Key's character. I have never seen him act before but he definitely stole the show for me (and I'm not even a Shinee fan)! Also loved all the impersonations in every episode I looked forward to each episode for that. I preferred this to much more than the Let's Eat series.

Loved this article, esp these two points; Am I fat/ugly and Am I generally a bad person. Sometimes you watch these forever cheerful never gonna say die female leads and you are like...do people like this exist and if they do....how does one become like them? I love my dramas but there are times where i have had to slap myself back into reality and remember that no one is that one dimensional.
Also the nosebleed one! After kdramas I have come to expect nosebleeds as the most normal part of life even though I have never ever experienced one!

this drama was an amazing insight into the lives of the elderly and how colourful, fun, depressing, agonising and amazing life can be. It really highlights life in an almost realistic manner, where even the big events that you would think might define a character are actually depicted as just part of their journey. You really feel like Wan-ah is all of their daughter with the way her life is interwoven into everyone's life. She is not portrayed as the bight shinny one dimensional main lead but a complicated human being who like all of us has many selfish thoughts but understands deeply what she has to do. I loved all of the older actors, you can tell they are talented in their art but Choong Nam's character was my favourite. She was a straight talking independent yet soft-hearted lady that loves everyone so deeply. In my opinion she was the most admirable character in the series and I loved when she was on screen (esp when she was going to school with her backpack...soo cute).

For me personally the drama also made me realise how perhaps my own mother would have felt through the stories of these ladies and made me appreciate her so so much more.

Definitely watch this drama at some point in your life. It gives you glimpse of what lies in store for us and how to handle life with dignity.

The outfits in this drama were my favourite thing, they were all so pretty! I loved her outfits and she looked so good in them too.

Like everyone else I think she should have ended with Jason and the open ending just confused me.

Didn't care for the main couple, couldn't feel any affection from the female lead towards the male lead. Ha Neul's story line was the only reason to finish off this movie.

WHAT! I didn't know it was his last drama before military...I'm not a huge fan but I will miss him on screen. He's like staple actor every year you expect a new drama from him :(((

Me too! The little girl was my favourite, but I suppose they couldn't show the same actress 3 years on and it wouldn't do justice to have another actress in her place....but still :((((

As other reviewers posted, the first half was better than the second. I'm not sure why they went down the makjang road. There were so many better routes this drama could have taken. I couldn't really feel the chemistry between the leads, their kiss scenes were a little bland. And even though Jeon Ji Hyeon did a good job, her character was better in Love from Another Star. Her character in this drama was a little too weak (despite the physical strength). Also I feel like they conman aspect of Min Ho's character was ignored and not explored enough. I wish they could have made it more interesting through that instead of forgetting about altogether.

It's a fun watch but nothing remarkable, which is unfortunate because the cast was good and the story was really good in the beginning. I like the way everyone was connected to the past and their roles in the present.

Unfortunately you can't help but compare this drama to Goblin as there are a lot of similarities but Goblin did everything better. From the friendships to the romance, to the plot line and the chemistry in Goblin is much stronger between the main leads. Because of that, at least for me, the Legend of Blue Sea couldn't compare and the makjang aspect made me lose interest.

The ending was a little bittersweet for me, I wish the writer could have wrapped things up better. But as with most fantasy genres, these kind of endings are the best you can hope for.

Through 5+ years of watching dramas and this is the one that gave me an existential crisis. What is life? what is our purpose? what is choice? destiny? Is God cruel or are we the ones who fail to understand his questions?

Raising interesting questions wrapped in a beautiful romance is the perfect way to describe what Goblin was to me. Yes there are cliched parts, wayyyyyyyyy too much product placement (>_<") and at times it was predictable, but the writer built up such a breathtakingly beautiful world. The director and cinematography matched the writers imagination and the ost grows on you rather quickly. And ofcourse, the actors, esp surprised by Kim Go Eun who plays her character so well you end up falling for her almost as much as the main lead. And the bromance....so much bromance, it was half the reason I was watching the show, Gong Woo and Dong Wook have amazing chemistry.

This is definitely a drama I will treasure for a while and miss for a long time now.

Pretty cute and easy to watch, Jung Il Woo carries the entire show though, so you are only really watching it for him not the plot. The best scenes were of him and secretary Heo, it was such a cute relationship much like in Falling for Innocence (with Lee Shi Eon playing the same role).
