what another Japanese drama like that do you recommend
Iām afraid I havenāt watched too many j-dramas. But I can recommend you books by Keigo Higashino. Iāve found a similar wholesome murder mystery dynamic in his his stories. You can perhaps check out Galileo (the japanese drama). It is loosely based on one of his characters. I personally didnāt believe they did it justice though so I couldnāt finish it. I definitely recommend the Detective Galileo books though. The Devotion of Suspect X, for example, is a masterpiece.
I absolutely love the fact that most Japanese murder mysteries I've read/watched so far have somehow had a wholesome with a side of therapy following the regular content. I've never experienced this in murder mysteries from other parts of the world.
I'm wondering the same thing if they'll tackle the DPRK issues sideways.
I hope they do that correctly as well. Also, given how two sets of actors are cast as the leads, theyāre likely to run two parallel stories between them (past and future). So there will most certainly be a time jump involved and something related to the historical influence keeping them apart perhaps? The āforbidden loveā angle seems quite possible, unfortunately.

I think they definitely intend to tackle those issues and that is why they decided to set the show in this time period. Curious why they didnāt mention anything about it in the synopsis though.
If you find the beginning depressing and hard to watch, I suggest you maybe not watch this. The middle is going…
Iāll watch it with one eye closed if it gets too hard. Nothing can keep me from Lusi dramas. Besides Iām a sucker for sad endings. Thatās hardly the issue. Thank you for your concern. I just like my female leads to stab first and suffer later.
Also, I'm so nervous about Little Shrimp. Lusi has such a poor track record of child companions in her shows. They always die. I hope he is an exception.
Iām 4 episodes in and this show is sooo depressing. I feel so bad for Duanwu. Iām still gonna stick by it because I love Lusi and had been looking forward to this show forever. But Iām wondering when does it get slightly less depressing.
This is co-produced by WeTV but it's not on my contry's WeTV. Can anyone check in other regions if they have that?
It's co-produced by WeTV? Because that's the first thing that has made sense since they changed the name, announced twelve 35 minute episodes and dropped that weird trailer.
(too soon? š)
is a masterpiece.
Also, very intrigued by the proverb you used about wearing a watermelon around oneās neck. What does that mean?
