Cute and well executed short film, just to give you an idea it is shorter than a typical Japanese drama episode. I am not the biggest fan of the romance genre but I love how creative they get in this movie. It's about a girl who is obssesed with BPM (beats per minute) and it's brilliant how they incorporate that in a love story. The main lead Ishikawa Ruka is adorable, she's like an anime character turned to life, total opposite from her role in Colorless. Lastly, cinematography is on point and I love those catchy songs, definitely I didn't waste my time.

Hello, how do you mean she's different? To me, she's obnoxious, mean, scheming just like any rich jealous female…
She's not a yes girl to her father which makes her different.

That's reassuring, because after the first episode I'm not feeling it that engaging. Of course acting is on top,…
First episode is a bit melodramatic imo but it got toned down next episode.
On Remote de Korosareru Aug 21, 2020
I get the message it was conveyed well in my opinion. It would be more relatable to anyone who are working at home at this current situation. The character of Yumiko was a nice addition to strenghten the theme of this story, but the mystery part is lackluster in my opinion. There's too many holes, unrealistic like straight out of an anime mystery visual novel game, so yeah it can get entertaining as long as you can ignore the unrealistic part. The acting is surprisingly good, most of these actors are not known for being a solid actor, but kudos to them they all deliver especially Honda Tsubasa.

This movie just hits different because of this pandemic right now. The message was supposed to be something more abstract, something connected with olympics, but as I watched it, the dialgoue, the lyrics from the song, it's like a commentary on our world right now. Technical aspect is superb, the cinematography, audio and that song created this atmosphere that will immersed you from beginning to end. It gripped me more than any zombie movie could. I didn't noticed an hour already had passed. An almost accidental masterpiece.

It gets better each episode. I love how the president daughter is not the same cliche character you would see in a drama with similar setting.

Never in my life I would think taking a bath can be this epic, fun and philosophical.

I enjoyed her in Parallel Tokyo, which isn't exactly a character driven show and it's a bit different from the…
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll watch that later. Thanks for subbing it BTW.
On Kyoufu Shinbun Aug 10, 2020
Casting here is on point. Among young Japanese actresses it is shiraishi sei who can carry a show such as this.
On Youkai Sharehouse Aug 7, 2020
This is such a fun drama. It's the perfect drama for me after watching bunch of indie movies. Koshiba fuka is much better in a lead role than supporting roles, she is carrying this show for me. I kinda wanna see her doing character driven serious type of roles. I think she is ready for that. Btw ost is 10/10.

this list is on-point. though the first one, haven’t seen him much.
He is actually the best actor for me in this list and the most consistent. You probably saw him in nobody knows as the young akira.
On Sakurai Hinako Jul 30, 2020
She reminds me of the young satomi ishihara, same bubbly personality just less charismatic but arguably more skilled at same age.

Person Matsui Daigo
He's becoming the king of unconventional non cliche plot and definitely my favorite young Japanese director. He and Ueda Shinichiro would become cultish type of director in the future similar to Miike, Sion Sono & Ishii Katsuhito.
On Ora, Ora Be Goin' Alone Jul 30, 2020
Nice trailer you could safely say this movie has heart and not just a quick quirky comedy that is easy to watch. Who cares if Higashide is in it he's just a supporting role. He is a despicable human being in real life and deserves all the backslash, but atleast he can act, and for me that is what's important, and I don't care about actors personal life anyway. Same can be said with those renaissance masters but are really terrible human beings, their works are still being praised to this day. Let's learn how to separate art from a person, look at them as actors and not as celebrities. Well that's just my opinion anyway.

Person Imou Haruka
I think Minori is by far the most unique among them, even by indie actresses standard. She is in more flexible…
Yes she would also fit those live action mainstream roles. Same can be said with Ruka but the problem is her height. She could be same actress like Ito Sairi though which is not a bad thing but let's see if she is really that talented or that role in colorless just fits her perfectly.

BTW I think the list is due to be updated. New blood needs to be added, the U-23 age group seems to be disproportionally…
It would be a long list if I include all those actors who can act. I want this list to be as short as possible. So far it's only Sugisaki Hana who really impress me among U23 actors but I haven't seen much from those group.
On Love Distance Jul 25, 2020
Cute, short and lighthearted drama. It tackles this fascinating thing about this lockdown situation right now where we learn to appreciate all the little things around us even mistaking little crushes as love. From the same guy behind Coffee and Vanilla so the aesthetics would feel similar, it's just that the amount of cheese is just enough this time and not the same cheesiness that would put dominos pizza out of business.

Cold Case is the yardstick stick for US adaption drama. If it is at least half as good as Cold Case this wlll still be a good drama. Soundtrack should be goood. They should hire that dude from mozu or if possible get hiroyuki sawano.
