yes IMO its overrated....

I did watch bitter blood and samurai x...how did you rate a performance by an actor anyway??? his performance compared to satoshi, eita, hidetoshi or even odagiri(tho he more of a supporting role) I just didnt see that happening.....but just like I said its like a popularity poll so if that how you rate actor then im ok with it.

This type of drama the longer you think about it the more greater it will be you will remember their dialogue, the fast paced talking, their way they resolve problem with fighting, the way they love wrestling and lastly as cliche as it sound but their bonding as family. It will become a classic when years have passed.

Many things had been said about this awesome drama, but I just wanna point that scene involving emoto and his younger brother. Their heated conversation as the projector conveys ai hashimoto's play in the background. The dialogue in that play as it blends with their heated conversation, that for me my friends is a piece of brilliant writing.

The potential of that first episode excites me, specially the scene when they interrogate satsuki then suddenly satsuki kissed kiritani then kiritani kick this metal door BAMMM then that stare....I was damnn epicness and the music in that scene is perfect too. The hell this could be great just I don't understand what's happen next, too many bullshits in the story like they look exactly the same yet they don't thought the idea they could be twins? That's the biggest bullshit but there are more I'm not going to mention all. The acting is above average on the verge on being great just that the script sucks.

For those who are saying emi takei sucks...if she sucks then satomi Ishihara, ayase haruka and other generic jactress sucks too. Emi maybe had a tendency to overact but atleast she had that versatility and believe me if she sucks then most jactress sucks too. I'm a fan but this comment is from my inner critic self.

Sometani might steal this movie from the 2 male lead....that's how fantastic the role is.

And now I'm officially a fan of bump of chicken band......the song really sums up the whole drama .

I watched it and I prefer her in that kind of role but her performance in taisetsu is top notch.

I think it has same music composers as waterboys, the music sounds the same.

love the soundtrack the music not the songs......nao kawainess + that upbeat music = KAWAI LOL. Yuta kanai if i remember correctly did an emotional scene in ikigami movie where he sings then died, Im shock that he is good at comedy too.

this need update I doubt these are only his films.......RIP he a great actor tho not seen most of his works black rain and recently dearest are the best ive seen from him.

"The curious weird case of Emi Takei"

I first saw her at kenshin movie then after months of boredom I decided to watch a not your typical highschool drama so I pick Taisetsu na koto yada yada yada. I was blown away with her performance, I really love that farewell train scene with haruma miura her asset is her eyes and in that scene she shown great emotion that made me think haruma miura is an idiot for choosing erika toda over hikari(emi takei), I hope they both work together again they have insane chemisty on screen. I became a fan instantly that made me download some of her dramas online but for some reason none of does impress me I dont know what I saw from taisetsu yada yada that made me love her that I cant find in asuko march etc. Then I learned that taisetsu yada yada is her debut main lead in a drama and she is chosen over 800+ girls. So here is what im curious about, how come an actors best performance came before where she is somewhat new to the field of acting than later when she is somewhat polish actress.

Is it because of freshness?

NO cause I saw her at kenshin first



Is it because of the role?

NO cause there are emotional crying scenes in some of her drama but in taisetsu yada yada is her best performance.

I love today Erika in boss she is cute but I have to admit she a terrible actress...strong dependable female characters doesn't suit her, this drama would be better if the lead actress is different IMO. Takei emi outshines her.
