Truck-kun should be included in the cast lol. She's getting more frustrated I won't blame her though she live 100+ years of her life doing almost the same thing If I were her I accept the fate of being a sea urchin.
Being a Jdrama fan for 10+ years I really love all the Jdrama references in this show it felt like I time travelled myself lol. The writing is clever and witty with subtle jabs to Japanese bureaucracy, an A+ game from Bakarhythm. It fun to see some of the greatest Japanese actors having fun with this show like seriously, Ando, Kaho, Sometani, Matsuzaka Tori, Haru Kuroki even the great Shida Mirai. We are only half of this drama so many things can still happen and I can somewhat see that twist that will happen.
I am a bit disappointed with this drama it is very cliche and Suzu Hirose is a bit annoying I blamed the direction for that. It seems they are confused what the tone they are aiming for this drama. I hope it gets better the tone doesn't match the theme atleast for me. I continue to watch tho cause Tanabe Momoko is here and I like Yorushika too.
It felt they skip parts from the manga how the younger brother got attached to that kid right away. But that just small issue for me and I understand why they did that. I really like this show the cliffhanger is brutal but It already felt it won't be just 7 episodes. If there would be no season 2 we riot. "The man" is superb ominious character, Goto Gin got interesting in the end, Keisuke and his mother added layer to this incredible show. Production value for this series is high but it's the character of daigo the one carried this show, he never got boring and not one dimensional.
Can u recommend me something that has Yagira Yuya and plz don't recommend me something in which he has his head…
Destruction babies is his wildest role but almost everyone hated that movie lmao. He can play any role Aoi Honoo for slapstick japanese comedy, he's in Gintama too. Character driven human dramas is his specialization you can watch from nobody knows , unforgiven, don't cry mr. ogre but those are not for everyone. He's no mainstream actor his most accessible works perhaps Yutori Desu ga Nani ka and Asakusa Kid.
For a narrative perspective this can get very confusing especially that info dump at the beginning but if you are looking for awesome action pact yakuza betrayal left and right this is right up your alley. I like all the characters this main duo is basically John Wick and Denji (Chainsawman) in one team atleast that's the vibe I get from them. There's nothing groundbreaking here it's the same fomula if you like yakuza films you will like this aswell.
After recent miscasts Ai Hashimoto has finally found the role that matches her beauty and skill set as an actress. I really like her character the demeanor, depth and especially how it's not cliche written. Her final speech with Sumire is so important that it nearly put tears in my eyes well infact that final episode is powerful. In every Koreeda films there's a scene that will surprise you and just hit you and that entire episode is like that. Makanai is an example of a solid slice of life drama, colourful characters, thought provoking quotes, cozy vibe and of course food. Visual storytelling is also on point you would appreciate it more had you notice all these small details. If the name Koreeda put you off this won't be slow at all it's his most accessible work to date.
This is really wholesome and cute no over dramatic plot device or mind boggling plot twist whatsoever just simple love story with a "slice of life" touch. I think I would like it more had it involved side characters more to the story, it felt incomplete on that aspect especially on male lead's side.
That set up in episode 1 is like every horror game created, "that man" is an awesome villain boss like nemesis I love it. Yuya Yagira as Daigo is awesome I knew unhinged characters suit him the best. They could remake every Beat Takeshi movies and he would be the lead. This got some insane production I have a feeling drive my car cinematographer is involved in episode 3.
There are alot of good stories from Japan if coupled with good cinematography and exposure can easily get a wide…
Jdramas just need to make it available world wide but they should not change their core themes just to cater to majority. If people don't like it and so be it.
A typical lovers on the run film in which the male lead will save and protect this troubled woman. What makes it interesting is this knight in shining armor has a dark side as well. The dynamics between these two troubled characters is really interesting the fact they fell in love with each other has sense of realism. Acting is superb probably Nijiro Murakami's best Imou Haruka is great as welll. They got great on screen chemistry which made me want to see them in a lighter romantic roles maybe something like 90s complex romantic dramas. Aside from acting cinematography is its strongest point and among all I find this one particular scene masterful. That lamp casting shadow at their back while this beautiful song from the radio is playing. One of the most romantic scenes I've seen in film.
Two of the most infamous actresses in Japan superb casting lol. I already see angry twitter folks trying to cancel this because of Erika Karata but people outside that echo chamber won't give af.
