The condor heroes trilogy. Legend of the condor heroes 2017, Heavenly sword and dragon saber 2019 (and probably the 2nd installment that comes out later this year) I think are the closest thing to this. And they're both very good.

Omg, I actually felt sad for her at the end when she accomplished what she wanted, but she still wasn't happy…
She only got back to the palace after many years, when she was sent away, don't know how many though. Most likely was also kept in the palace by her mother to avoid suspicion.
