Oh yes also, seeing how the casts from L&R also here, we can expect beautiful soundtrack of the drama. I especially…
Was scrolling through Douyin and came across this. Currently watching the event, bet most of them just came for the L&R cast, haha, Also love to see Xuan Lu in a historical drama again.
As I have watched from the previews, sad news is this drama had 36 eps and in ep 30, the king is still alive??…
I mean that's the point of the whole story, for Mo Wan to take down the emperor, so Prince Su can ascend. So ofcourse he stays there till near the end.
Dou Shi Ming is portrayed as one of the more main antagonist, but he got sent to the guillotine under one minute after being caught. All these events go by so fast, there's no suspense building, so it doesn't feel satisfying at all. It was just a sidequest for Prince Su to have him at least do something for screentime. But ay, we all still watching this shit and enjoying it somehow.
I still like this series, but I keep getting more and more annoyed by the sudden scene transitions and cut short subplots. Like how she submitted herself again to the emperor, could've maybe been made more dramatic. Now it's like oh, she suddenly agrees to go to bed with him and next minute she becomes the noble consort. Well that must've been a quickie.
Wot?? From 70 episodes to 36 ? or they divide into 2 seasons?
There is a post on weibo with the producer talking about this drama. She said that they cut a lot of content, so most likely just cut it down to 36 episodes. They also filmed a scene where Mo Wan didn't exchange memories. I mean it's already all over the place right now, obvious that there are a lot of deleted scenes. Like Jin Yi and Mo Wan were suddenly trusted friends and he wasn't even properly introduced.
Here comes the harem drama. Also I shouldn't have watched the ending credits, so many spoilers, got tempted because of the good OST. Though the intro didn't have any spoilers...
But why? This question like during the whole movie and none answered. Sure, I know it's like a satirical, over the top, and overdramatic portrayal of the royal family. But at least answer why she was getting poisoned.
There are quite some flaws in the plot, but liking it so far. I've seen worse. Also just now in Episode 10 they randomly show that the Emperor and the Empress' relationship wasn't that good at all. Should've shown that in the prologue, but hey.
Became somewhat boring midway in, Lin Yuan this Ming Ye that Feng Wu is in trouble again, we gotta save her. Also Zhao Ge's sidestory was pretty much filler. The ending isn't the problem, but how it leads to it, so illogical. Average at best, would be like 2.5* on douban if there weren't many 5* by idol fans honestly.
I don't know why I keep watching all these Mulan adaptations. But it's actually the best one so far, meaning a less broken and weird plotline. Although it's inferior with picture to the other ones, nothing spectacular like big fights.
Whoever came up with this stupid plot. A lobster demon wants revenge for humans eating lobsters. Supposedly this is sort of a sequel since the lobsters were shown for a split second in the prequel. But still don't know what this has to do with Swords of Legends.
