Well, despite the ending is not what everyone expects/wants it to be, can't deny that Mr. Queen is still one of…
re: rating, not really. the last episode's rating only reflects that the first 19 episodes were good and people were anticipating the last episode. doesn't mean that most people were satisfied with it. if i had known the last episode was like this, i personally would never have watched.
Them returning to their own bodies makes the whole drama and love that king had for SB fake and meaningless. At…
yes, i totally agree. i guess the people who are "satisfied" with the ending think that SY was in the Queen's body from episode 7+ onwards. even if some of the memories / emotions were SY's, to me, the majority of whom the King fell for was BH: it was his personality, his modern ideas, his strength, his courage.
maybe it is a happy ending for SY to be with the King, whom she loves. but isn't it such a tragic ending for the King, to brave all that and end up with someone else entirely different than whom he fell for?
even if you argue that the Queen was half SY, half BH, then at the end of the drama, the King is still left with an incomplete Queen -- still NOT the person he fell for. what kind of romance is it, really?
Why do some people think that fans only like this for the pretty faces? I mean yes, I admit, I love good eye candy,…
yes, exactly! i have watched other dramas by wyb and xz after the untamed, but gave up on some of them because those dramas just weren't that great. the untamed, however, had everything going for it -- great actors, great script, great chemistry. if everybody watch only for pretty faces, many more dramas would be ultra successful (but they are not).
This is the most unsatisfying ending I've watched in recent years. I'd rather it have a sad ending than this fake happy ending. How can the King be happy in the end, when the Queen is actually not the person he fell in love with? Just a few episodes ago, the Queen was telling Kim Byung In that she was not the person he loved. And yet, now it's perfectly acceptable for the King to be with someone who's not actually the one he fell for?
