good lord this needs an lgbtq tag. eunuchs of that time were of two types. one that were born intersex with a masculine body structure and other were male born but had their testicles chopped off. if the ml here is not a man pretending to be eunuch , then this can be a huge and dramatic change to chinese cinema. Royal princess falling for a eunuch. :') that so sweet and queer and romantic. also whenever there is a trans/intersexromance involved, the partner is always a cis guy. you will never find translesbian romance drama. this is probably the second one im finding ( if it really turns out that the eunuch is eunuch only and not pretending to be one in the story) , first being Joshi-teki Seikatsu . beautiful !! sorry for the rant
this is one of those dramas where the love interest of fl/ml is not the ml/fl. the fl here is teng xiao xiao and ml is lu mang. duan chong is the love interest of xiao not the ml lmao
