The best Thai bl drama I've watched so far.... I don't get how some say that the acting isn't good. Have you watched…
I will agree partially with you. In TT there is some over-the-top melodramatic acting towards the end (and some in the early episodes TBH). Gulf however is an amazing actor.

But to me New is terrible in DBK. He is the only actor I can single out as bad. Tay is OK here (he is better in 3 Will Be Free), and the other guys and girls are all good. The guy who plays Non is pretty good too.

It’s weird that you say this. I thought tharntype’s chemistry was more forced and sexual (And truly unrealistic).…
I think what we are referring to is not the skinship. For example, Noh and Phun in Lovesick are more believable as a couple than Pete and Kao are here. Remember, Phun and Noh kissed only once in S1 and once (but it was cut) in S2. Yet, they just seemed so cute together and Phun seemed like he really wanted Noh. In one of the last episodes of S2, the way Noh looks at Phun is so loving... Thus, they seemed more believable to me as a couple than Pete and Kao HERE.

I think Mew's acting was good (especially working with what he is given), also I don't think the problem is with…
But I still blame the director and not the writer for the creative choices that I think brought the series down a couple of notches.

Now if the guy is a new director then, Kudos to him because some of the scenes were beautifully acted and shot. Is just some were not but with time, the director should improve (unless he is embracing this lakorn tropes and decides to keep embracing them)....

Sorry, I got confused with the underwhelming Dark Blue Kiss which I was watching at the same time as this.

I say sorry because I can't believe I mixed it up. TT is in another league compared to DKB.

I think maybe this is a very Thai lakorn thing. I mean, even straight Lakorns seem a bit melodramatic. Love Sick is the exception....

The famous "boxset" is actually just a flashdrive for which she would charge 30 euros? Really? :/ MAME needs to…
I would buy it but I hope it comes with some special artwork because that is usually what comes in a boxset.

I want to support the BL industry so I am ok. Right now we got S1 FOR FREE and TRANSLATED, so I think $30E is not a bad price.

i have been watching this and i am up to ep5. at the moment, i don't get the hype for this. i think TT is cute…
Hard to say. Taste is a personal thing. It gets cuter towards the middle and then it takes a turn to the dark side in the last half. Some elements are IMO the darkest I have seen in a BL. There is one character who I felt so sorry for that I was a bit upset with his last scene, as it was hopeful but not exactly what I had wanted for someone suffering such a terrible fate.

Anyway, you probably will want to watch it all the way to the end. The last episode is very melodramatic but it has a reasonable resolution for all the characters.

I don't think its the greatest BL but I do think its one of the few BLs that feels like a good attempt at representing real gay men relationships... Tharn and Type feel like a real gay couple and deal with a lot of the issues that real gay couple deal with. That makes it unique.

We can agree to disagree. Thanks for the input.

I had totally forgotten about that very unnecessary cameo by Llhong at the bar. I was so confused by that scene, i thought maybe it was a dream and it was all in tharns, types or llhongs head. Lol

I definitely blame the director on that one.

Watch He's Coming To Me. I found it very enjoyable. It is the same director as TharnType (see my comment above about what I didn't like about both shows)

I am assuming you already watched Love By Chance?

I will tell you, watching your first BL is like falling in love. My very very first BL was Love of Siam (a movie from Thailand, which has often been cited as the one that started the BL wave in Thailand or at least made it possible).

Years later, I watched my first BL series, Love Sick.

Love of Siam was like my first crush. Love Sick was my first love. One I can't forget, the other I can't get over it. :)

Thai BL is a beautiful thing. :)

Before writing my review of the show (and rating it), I wanted to know if I was the only one who was a little bit disappointing with the acting of Mew in the final episode and with the overall directing of that episode.

I understand this is the same director as He's Coming To Me, which makes me even more convinced that most of this falls on the director. He's Coming To Me was a beautiful series with a pretty terrible climax. Here I saw the same thing: unneeded melodrama, protracted crying scenes, and unrealistic dialogue.

In He's Coming To Me the scene(s) in question lasted a lot less than in TT and were beautifully acted by Singto and Ohm while the "Grandpa" actor was terrible and really almost sank the whole thing, making me really upset.

Here it was mostly Mew who couldn't pull the scenes together and almost sank the whole thing for me. This started when he was crying at his brother house and lasted all the way to one of the last scenes when TT are in the same room (don't want to have to hit the spoiler button here). The guy who plays Llong did a much better job and he shines in most of the scenes he was in... The dialogue for his final scene was a bit cringe worthy but he did such an amazing job with it that I can't complain. If anything, I a upset that he made me feel pity for him when I shouldn't. That man is going places.

Hiter and Kokliang were beautiful as usual and their final scene together gave me some hope for both characters that they played. The dialogue again left a bit much to be desired but it was a heart-warming moment knowing all that Tar had been through. I really want to see more of Kokliang and I can't wait to watch Hiter in his new series. He is a great actor.

Gulf, what can I say about him? The climatic scene was a bit unbelievable (maybe it was the blocking but it was just weird). However, he had the acting chops to really elevate that scene together with Kaownah who was a scene stealer. I still felt that the climatic scene was a bit overdone and was overtly dramatic for my taste but at least these two didn't disappoint.

So, was I the only one who thought that Mew didn't do that well in the crying scenes and the climatic scenes? Was I the only one who was disappointed by the director's insistence on melodrama over more thoughtful resolutions? Was I the only one who was frustrated by the blocking of that final climatic scene? (e.g. How long did it take for Type to get up? What the heck were Techno and the other guy doing just sitting there?).

People do heal from trauma, and sometimes they work it out on their own (sometimes they fail but my guess is that some do succeed!)

This show is far from perfect but I am finding it pretty addictive. Is it me or does it have a hana yori dango vibe to it? At least it has a J-drama vibe, with the girls fawning over the guys, screaming for them etc....

I am on episode 3 or 4 so I hope it doesn't turn to trash as some have said....

Unlike others, I find the leading man to be quiet handsome and I think his ears are pretty darn cute. :P

The young kid did so many difficult scene. To me him and the girl were the stars of the show. BTW Did you know that Yuki Furikawa was also in Itazura na Kiss? InK is a famous adaptation of one of the most popular shojou mangas ever. He played Naoki Irie, the leading man.
